"I am being haunted. An 18-year-old who people think are crazy for being in the 'nut' house. She told me to tell people; she told me to make them believe. I am NOT losing my mind. I am not crazy; I am normal.
"It had to have begun in my senior year when I became the most popular girl in school. I had all of my friends, I had the top grades in class, and I had all of the boys head over heels for me. Plus I was a role model student who everyone loved. My life could never go wrong.
"As I parked my silver Volvo in my scheduled space. I stepped out of the car and inhaled the fresh fall air around me and embracing the beauty of the school. The smell of the trees and grass made me content, analysing every detail of the school, every brick, every window made me realise that this was my last year in high school. The sound of an all too familiar voice snapped me out of my trance.
" 'Crystal, Crystal! Over here!' I heard my best friend, Alice, scream as she sprinted towards me. 'I have missed you SO much! How was your summer?' I knew Alice was loud and squeaky, but not this much.
" 'The best summer ever!' I replied. I could not contain myself; I had to burst out squealing as well.
" 'Are you coming to the bonfire at the burning building, everyone else is going, even Cole!' She knew if my boyfriend was going to be there, I was as well. I nodded with excitement.
" 'Let's head in so we're not late for class!' I beamed. The day went swiftly with no fuss, which meant it was time to PARTY! Everyone was there, drinking and partying as the sunset, all of them creating crowds but keeping clear of the house that I heard was superstitiously burned down during the summer.
