I groan and open my eyes only to be met by a beam of sunlight shooting straight into my face. I check the clock on my bedside table and notice that it's already 10:30, mum and Marc are leaving at 11:00. I get up and make my way towards the kitchen wearing nothing but the boxers I fell asleep in. The hallway is cluttered with suitcases, who even needs 5 suitcases for a week in Berlin? My mother and step father that's who. When I reach the kitchen I see everybody sat around the small table eating pancakes and fruit and drinking coffee.
"Morning Haz, now that you're up we can lay down some ground rules." My mum says, way too cheerful for a Sunday morning. I reach for a banana on the counter and see that it's pouring down outside, I can't help but feel like the weather is mirroring my mood.
"Can you put some clothes on? Nobody wants to see that first thing in the morning." Louis says.
"Why, you jealous Tomlinson? Or is it because you can't get what you want?" I wink. His face gets red, he's either blushing or he's angry. Why would he be blushing....yeah he's angry.
"Ha next joke!" He growls.
"BOYS! STOP ARGUING FOR FIVE MINUTES!" Marc screams, instantly gaining our attention.
"Right so the ground rules......" As soon as those words leave his mouth I zone out. Thrown in the mix are the words no parties, no drugs and no alcohol. And in all honesty I couldn't care less.
"Shit! We're going to be late!" Mum curses after checking her watch. She pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead. "Behave Haz." she whispers into my ear before pushing me away and pulling Louis into her embrace. After an awkward pat on the back from Marc and an even more awkward hair ruffle they're both in the car while me and Louis stand by the front door anticipating their leave.
"And boys, no funny business." Marc hollers out the window before pulling out of the driveway in the direction of the airport.
"And then there were two..." Louis mumbles under his breath as we make quick eye contact.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"What do you want for dinner, pizza or Chinese?" Louis asks after barging straight into my room.
"Well I want whichever one delivers stepbrothers that fricking knock before they walk into someone's bedroom!" I grumble.
"Just choose Styles I can't be bothered with your shit right now." I'm surprised at his reaction. Never have I known Louis Tomlinson to back away from an argument. I feel his eyes boring into me and I realise that I've been thinking for too long.
"Umm....pizza, can't go wrong with pizza." I hastily answer.
"Any specific topping?" He's being too nice what's he up to.
"Naa you can choose." I wearily say.
"Okay, I'll call you when it's here asshole!" And with that he slams my door shut.
Half an hour later there's a knock at the door and before I know it me and Louis have eaten the meat feast pizza down to once slice. It's surprisingly comfortable on the living room floor in a nest of cushions and blankets. There's an old episode of friends running in the background and it's almost as if we're enjoying each other's company. We both reach for the last slice of pizza before looking up to meet each others eyes.
"DIBBS MINE! HA!" I shout in his face.
"NO!! I payed. The slice is mine you tosser."
"Who cares?! I called dibbs." I smirk.
"Stop being so selfish and let me have the pizza!"
"You're the selfish one Mr. I'm better than everyone else!" I growl.
"Say that again?! At least I'm not ashamed of my sexuality you closet gay!" He shouts.
"I'm not even gay for christ's sake!" I blatantly lie. I reach for the pizza, thinking he's distracted. All of a sudden I'm pushed back and pinned to the floor.
I can feel Louis' hot breath against my check. His scent is filling my nostrils and I can't help but breathe it in, a mix of vanilla and something musky that I can't quite put my finger on.
"Not gay?" He asks. Next thing I know his body is flush with mine. My eyes shut by instinct and I find my self enjoying the warmth and pressure his body is emitting on mine. The weight that was on top of me has gone. I open my eyes and notice Louis walking out the door and up the stairs to his room.
Speechless.
