Adeline Reed has lived with her older brother, Jacob, since her parents passed away. They got along great, and made do with the money their parents left for them. But one day when Adeline gets home from school, there is a lady from social services waiting in her living room.

With her brother unfit to take care of her, Adeline is placed in a foster home until she turns 18. That foster home just happens to be half way across the country! And, oh yeah, the home of Serenity Sinclair, the most popular girl at Adeline's new school and her eight totally hot brothers!

As if that wasn't enough pressure, there is something different about the Sinclairs. The way they control the town, the way they have power over other people and they love their rare steaks and full moons...

A/N: I love these kinda cliche stories, so I decided to write one for myself! Hope you like!

Prologue:

"ADELIIIIIIINNNNNEEEE! Don't tell me he got busted... again!"

I didn't even make it to the top of the stairs when I heard her voice. Walking to the railing just outside my bedroom door, I looked down, seeing the front door where my best friend, Brianah Roberts had let her self in. She held her phone in her hand with white knuckles, the screen flashing with the text message I sent her literally a minute ago.

Bri, you'll never guess what happened to Jacob... again. Come pick me up.

I sighed, sliding my hand along the railing as I walked down the rest of the hallway and the stairs, stopped at the bottom where Briannah was waiting for me with her impatient "well?" look in her blue eyes. "He's at the Police Station. Please, just drive me there."

"Sure thing, honey. But we got to stop at Booster Juice first." Bri looked like she had made the best suggestion in the world. But I guess it wasn't completely horrible, I could deal with a morning Very Berry booster.

"Let's go."

The Police Station was a twenty minute drive from my house, and when we got there, I left Bri in the car. She and my brother didn't get along the greatest.

I crossed the parking lot with my hands shoved into my small fall jacket, feeling the early wind pick up. When I opened the front door, a bell dinged above my head, and the guards inside nodded to me, letting me inside. To say we were acquaintances would be an understatement.

I walked straight ahead, ignoring the officer at the front desk, who didn't even give me a second look, and typed in the password for the gate that led to the back; where the holding cells were.

"I'm here for the bail, Dean!" I yelled ahead of me as I walked down the stone hallway, then turned to my left, being greeted by a dark-skinned officer sitting in a metal chair that was pushed against the wall, watching the holding cells.

Deal Morris was a friend of my parent's, when they were in the military. Dean was always there for them, and when they passed, he made sure to watch over me and Jacob, even in prison.Or a holding cell, anyways.

Dean gave me a greeting, before unlocking the cell, letting Jacob out. His resemblance to me was scary; we could've been twins, despite him being two years older than my 17. His black hair was messy ontop his head, with bits of dirt in it. His brown eyes were still dilated from whatever he was illegally smoking, and his jeans and v-neck grey shirt reeked of weed.

"You smell like shit," I commented, pulling his shirt closer to me to get a better smell. "And weed."

Jacob rolled his eyes, banging my should as he passed me, "Can we just go? I don't need another pep talk from my second dad over here." The sarcasm in his voice was so thick it couldn't even be cut with a knife.

Don't get me wrong; I loved my brother and everything he did for me, but he was an asshole at times.

"Thanks Dean." I told the officer, before running after Jacob. "Hey, Dean kept you out of jail, again. It's your... what? Fifth offense in the past two months? You would've been behind bars long ago if it wasn't for him!"

"It'd be a step up from this shit of a place." He said grumpily, shoving the gate open so hard that when it bounced off the wall, it left cracks.

"Dude, calm down!" I grabbed his arm, forcing him to turn and look at me. "Where'd you get the money from for your drugs?" His silence told me everything. I was the one to walk away angrily this time. "I can not believe you!"

"Look, Addy, I'm sorry. But I can get you more money when Taylor pays me for-"

"I don't want any money given to you by your crack-head friends." I cut him off, storming over to Bri's car.

Jacob's face darkened and he stopped right in his tracks. "Oh, no! I am not riding in a car with her!"

I opened the door but didn't get inside. "You can stay here, and I won't bail you out again... Or come with us. Your choice."

Bri opened her door, too, and stepped outside. "Get in the car, asswhipe. We have to get to school. And unlike you, we actually want to have a future free of drugs and prostitutes."

"You drop me off right away, got it Bree-anna?" Jacob said, walking over to us.

"It's Bree-on-ah."

"Whatever. Look, just get me home." Jacob said, getting in the car.

"Fine by me," Bri agreed, getting in the car and speeding down the highway.

"You owe me that money back, Jake." I told him sternly. How fricken dare he?! The money he took was from my safe in my room... which was for university. The only money I had from mom and dad.

"I told you, I'll pay you back!" Jake said annoyed.

"And I said I don't want your crack-head's money!"

"Then how -"

"Figure it out." I told him, ending our conversation.

When we got back to the house, I couldn't help but realize how, even though we were in the same home, our lives were totally down hill since mom and dad died. It was like there was nothing of them left. Even us. We were completely different people.
