     CHAPTER 1

Hi. I am Saria. You have probably heard of me from the many legends and tales of Link. Him and I are great friends and when he was younger my mother took him in. We used to do everything together, but now he is constantly be called to save Princess Zelda and now I rarely see him. And now his best friend Malon has been stolen and he has to go and help… but this time I won’t let him go alone.  This time I have insisted upon joining him. Here is the story of how we go Questing for Malon.

                “Link!” Link turned around.

“What is it Navvy?” he asked his fairy.

“Princess Zelda wishes to see you at the Castle.” She said excitedly. She handed him a letter, and he opened it. “ It’s a letter of approval.” Said Link.

He sighed. “I guess I better go Saria”.

“Do you know what she wants, Navvy?’ I asked her.

 “ no” she replied.

He started to leave but I said “I can’t have you always leaving, Link! This time I am coming with you.”

“I don’t think you should come because…because…” he stammered.

“Because why? Because me and Princess Zelda don’t get along?  If you think that will stop me from going with you your wro-“He cut me off.

“Because you don’t have a horse.” He said

” well… Lon Lon Ranch isn’t that far away so I could borrow one from there.” I argued. (Normally I wasn’t this augmentative but I was tired of always being left behind).

“Fine, we will go later, ok? I will come and get you, be ready! ” he said.

“OK, I have to go and get ready. Don’t leave without me!”

I ran off as fast as I could. I was so excited! I ran to the shop. The man asked me what I was looking for.    “A shield. Do you have one?”

“‘Coarse I do miss!”

He passed me a brown wooden one with a red swirl painted on it.

I walked home, and when I got there I grabbed a knife. I engraved the name SARIA on my shield in nice, pretty writing. I heard a knock on the door and I skipped down the stairs to find Link and Navvy. “Ready?” he asked. “Yep” And with that I grabbed my sword, shield and we headed off into the distance, in the direction of Lon Lon Ranch.
