Chapter Twenty Four - A New Start?

Ashleys POV

He leaned in and whispered into my ear "Ignore them, they will keep coming" He sighed and stood up. "River.. about um.. the kiss." I asked standing up. I had to know. "We are just friends Ashley" He nodded and walked away. Shaking my head and sighing,i turn around once River is out of my sight but my breath hitches at the bottom of my throat as Jonah appears infront of me. "Please Ashley listen to me"He said as his voice cracked. He had dsrk bags under his eyes and he smelled alcohol. Is this how much i've hurt him? Jesus...

"Yes Jonah ?" I ask looking at him. I was dying inside but i had to look strong. "Please Delilah means nothing to me.. i did all that to piss you off.. i still love you and i have no feelings for Delilah.. i dont know why i cheated on you please accept me back" he said. His eyes turned red as he started tearing. I tried so hard not to cry. I hugged him and kissed his forhead. "Of course.." i whispered rubbing his hair with my thumb as he cried onto my shoulder. "Im surprised you accepted an asshole like me.." he whispered.

Remembering the date of today i bite my lip. "Hapoy Birthday baby" I smile and kiss him. "I couldnt ask for more" he smiled hugging me tight. New me.. new start..

From now on i would not cut, or think about suicidal stuff... I wouldnt believe what everyone said..

From then, the next day and the after next day and goes on for ever.. me and River never talked to each other again... Me and Jonah lived happily ever after. I graduated High School and went to Prom with Him. Years passed and yet im still with Jonah...
