She's Not The One

After the dance, Gaara took you to a place where you could only see the stars on the dark sky to escape from the noisy music in the room.

"Gaara.., I.."

"I know. But, don't you think this is useless?", he asked, avoiding his gaze from you.
"What do you mean?", a tint of rage and sadness was heard in your voice.
"If Naruto truly loves you, he wouldn't allow Hinata to do everything for him. No matter what happens, he would go after you and stay by your side.. but now, you know exactly what's going on."

You backed away, "No! Even if he's hurting me, I know that someday, he'll miss me. I will never give up..! I just need some time to.."
"To find someone new? You should do that.", Gaara said sternly.

You went silent, "You're telling me to move on. Do you think it's really that easy?!"
Tears spilling from your eyes, you were still denying the truth.
"I know those feelings! Those hopes that aren't real..! I know what it feels like to move on.. I know the feeling when you don't want to give up..", he yelled back at you.

It was silent, only the sound of your sobbing figure reached his ears.
"Was it.., Matsuri..?"

"What..? How..?"
You smiled and wiped away your tears, "I'm just feeling a bit relieved now.., thanks Gaara.., Matsuri would be happy to have you, you know..?"
Without warning, Gaara took your hand and held it gently. You couldn't help but blushed and stared at his sorrowful eyes.
"But what if.., it was you? Would you be happy to have me..?"

He was leaning closer that you could feel his breathe on your face.
"I'm sorry."

Gaara froze. You gently pushed him away. "I would be happy to have someone like you but I'm still inlove with Naruto.. if I kissed you, there will be no difference between me and Hinata."
With a sad smile, you bowed and ran off.

"Hinata! Have you seen (Y/n)?", Naruto asked with a goofy smile.
Hinata shook his head, "I don't know.., why don't you wait here with me until she comes in?"

From afar, you watched the two with rage. You quickly walked directly to Naruto until he noticed you.
"Oh, hey (Y/n)! I was looking for-"
His words were cut by your lips as you kissed him gently.

His cheeks were flushing red as usual, which made you relieved and satisfied that he hasn't got over you yet.
"W-what's wrong, (Y/n)?"

You wanted to say those words. You wanted him to know these feelings that tortured you every single second. You wanted to say it right in front of him. Right in front of her.
"Naruto.."

But those words couldn't escaped from your lips. You were choking for air as your started to become watery.
"Are you alright..?", he asked, wiping away your tears.
His worried face. Somehow, you were longing to see this expression. You wanted to know if he still cared for you.
You couldn't keep it to yourself anymore, so you cried on his chest.

The music stopped and everyone were looking at you. They were your friends, after all.
Naruto stared at you in shocked, "(Y/n)..?! Tell me, who made you cry like this?"

'You!'
You didn't want to break the chance of feeling his touch, so you just hugged him tightly.
Naruto looked at you sadly. It was rare of you to cry like this. Especially when your cries were sounded like you were afraid of something.
"Did someone scared you? Are you afraid of something, (Y/n)?"
