The studio was mostly silent- save for the occasional footsteps leading towards the elevator or door as another employee clocked out for the night. Small pitter-patter footsteps  broke the chain of heavy ones as a certain inky toon made his way to the music department. He passed Sammy on his way down the steps.

"Don't break anything" Sammy said, not even sparing the demon a second glance.

"Wouldn't dream of it Samster." Bendy replied, smiling.

The smile lasted all the way down to the recording room, where it only grew bigger. He pushed open the door, careful not to startle the figure on the other side of the room. As he closed the door, the figure turned from her spot by the piano.

"Bendy?" She asked, voice hushed.

Bendy let out a love-struck sigh, her voice could make anyone smile even on the worst of days.

"Hey Angel-face." He replied, lowering his volume as he made his way to the piano where she sat.

Alice slid herself over a bit, extending a hand to Bendy, who took it with gratitude and helped himself up. Giving her a quick smile, he leaned his body far back until it hit her thighs. He sighed. The room went into comfortable silence for what felt like half an hour before Bendy broke the silence with a question.

"Do you ever wonder what it would be like?" He whispered, eyes staring up at the wooden ceiling above.

Alice answered with a quiet, "Hm?"

"To be human. To live, breathe, love, die. To experience life to it's fullest." He replied, glancing away from the ceiling in favor of staring into Alice's eyes.

Alice is silent for a moment. She seems lost in thought, Bendy notes. She takes a few moments to speak, "I'd be lying if I said I haven't... It seems all well and dandy until I look at what being a human can be like." She pauses and looks at Bendy, He's silently urging her to continue.

"Take Sammy for an example, he fell in love with someone who dropped him for someone more successful than him." There's a hint of bitterness in her voice as she neglects to mention her old voice actress's name.

"And it broke him to a million pieces. He was happy with her and she ruined it." She said, softly.

Bendy smiled sadly, "But look at him now. He's healing, Al. Didn't you see him talking with Wally the other day? He had a spark in his eye. He looked happy."

Alice closed her eyes, "But.. that's just one case. Things like that happen all the time to humans. Most don't even recover. They're left to sit there wondering where they went wrong... I'd hate to ever have to experience that.

Bendy frowned and held her hand, "That's just a part of life.. some people are meant to love, some aren't, but that doesn't mean that they're any less of a person than the ones that do love. And maybe the ones who think they don't deserve it haven't found the right person."

Alice was silent.

She opened her eyes and smiled, "I guess you're right."
