"Mum" I called from the of the staircase, holding a packet of empty face wipes " Mum, I need some more wipes"
I stood there listening out for my mums kind soothing voice but instead I heard the groan of pipes . I sighed and began rushing downstairs "Mum, dad, Harry"
Walking into the kitchen, I glanced around and noticed a plate full of scrambled eggs
sitting on the kitchen counter. Along side it were 2 slices of buttered toast "that's strange", my dad never leaves his scrambled eggs untouched.
I hurried of towards the fridge and was greeted by a cold draft and the faint smell of yesterday's chilli. I smiled as I grabbed for it and whispered "chilli in the morning, sounds good to me"
I popped it into the microwave and reached into my hoodie pocket for my phone. I dialled my mothers number and waited for a sound other than the phone dialling to occur.
5 minutes later
I stared deeply at my phone, why wasn't my mum picking up? why wasn't any of them answering their phones? Confusion and fear flooded my mind as a million scenarios flashed right before my eyes, they wouldn't just leave me, would they?
