Prologue

This is a story that has been passed down for many generations; about how the world was saved from total destruction because of the courage of five young men a women. They took the power divided up by the gods of old among themselves, and the source of evil and conflict was destroyed once and for all by their bravery.

Looking back, some call this tale a legend; the fantastical events that took place in this time were those of a child's imagination, the pure definition of fiction and fokelore. For others, this tale is the history that shaped our nation to become what it is today. All have heard this story, but only a single difference separates those who take this tale as fiction and those who trust this story is fact.

Fate and Destiny are tricksters; consistently confusing the human race with the mysteries and riddles they weave between each other. As mysterious as the universe can be, several things stand as fact: this legend has somehow survived to the present day. One of these groups is correct in their conviction about the validity of this narractive, be it those who believe in fact or fiction.

Fate and Destiny may like to tease us with their silly antics, but the real question is not "Who is right; fiction or fact?", but "Why are they right?". Now, young reader, it is time for you to make your choice and take your stance. Which side of the story will you choose to believe and will it be the right one for the right reasons? But most importantly, why are you right?

I now have the honor of letting you find out for yourself. Our tale is about to being, and you will testify witness to the coming events.

Dear reader;

Are you up to the challenge?

Author's Note

Alright, so I hate to say this, but with this story, I'm gonna put a target amount of votes on each chapter before I update again. This just proves to me that people are interested and actually want me to keep working on this so they can keep reading. Now, as a person who has read several stories like this before, I only have one rule about it. NO VOTING ON MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS (secondary, RP, some other third thing, etc.) TO REACH THE VOTE QUOTA. I admit, I am guilty of doing this, but I ask of you not to fall into that trap. Please only vote once if you have multiple accounts. I'm doing this so I'll have time between updates to get some thoughtful writing in, and, come on, I have a life too. I don't just sit at my computer all day, writing; especially when school rolls around again in August.

Given the fact that I already have the next chapter completed and only need to give it some minor edits, the vote qutoa here will only be 5 votes.

Hope you enjoy the story and remember to vote, comment, fan if you REALLY want more! ^_^

Peace ~VS
