Chapter 2

Marley's Pov

The one thing I hate more than losing my fiancé at an inplanetary field trip, is almost dying. I thought it would be intresting to go on this trip and see all the marine life. I insisted jack didn't in a way its all my fault. I thought it would be fun too, but i guess the definition of fun was, " Enjoying time with someone." to "Getting half your ship eaten by a sea creature of an uncivilized planet. Fun took a really, really dark turn. If we died on the planet I would've had a very dishonorable death getting both me, and my fiancé dead.

Time to think what to do. First, I need to gather supplies food, water and items i will need when I venture into the water. I searched the whole pod and I searched for food first. I found two packs of food, and 2 water bottles. Then, I searched for accessorys that I might need when I go out to swim. I found a pair of night vision goggles, a aquatic suit that can sustain the pressure this far down.

All I needed now was a bag to put whatever I find into it. I searched and all I could find was a plastic bag that was empty and it had a huge hole at the bottom. I guess I'll have to make do what I've got. When I went out into the unforgiving water. It was deep down I found one huge hole that must have dived down for miles. when I was holding the bag it swerved out of my hand and sunk to the bottom because of the pressure. I guess I'll have to go back to the pod to empty out what I find this will take at least four stops.

I looked around to see what I could find, there was a sea shell that was shaped unnaturally. It was very strange it was shaped almost like an egg. I went back inside it to investigate.  The egg shaped seashell, was teal, and it felt strange. I couldn't thing of anything to do with it, then very suddenly I felt something from the egg like something was trying to poke out of it. I knew this wasn't an ordinary egg from earth this was an alien egg.

It was fasinating it was like a bird egg except it was an under water and the ecosystem was extraordinary, but why would its parents leave them? This was nothing like i've seen before even though im the top marine bioligist I still have never seen this type of under water egg. If i could some how let it grow and act like its guardian then maybe it could help in this disaster. Maybe just maybe I could be it's parent.

First, I needed to find it a place to stay and make it feel like its at home with it's family. I found an old warmer for your hands, and set it down. I always kept in case if I got cold but this critter could use it for now.
