"Alright!Listen up,little warriors",began Sokka,as he paced back and forth in front of the soon-to-be -warriors boys.Even though the coming of war was near,Sokka felt that he must at least teach the children about being a warrior.There was so much for them to know!And yet so hard to fill the information into their thick little heads."War is coming near,as you know",he continued,"but that does not mean you"ll get out of at least knowing about being a warrior.Today,you will learn more and see how to be one!"there was silence and some coughs here and there after Sokka finished his small speech.Finally,the silence was broken by the groaning complaints of the Watertribe boys.They were probably looking forward to penguin-sledding with Aang,not being lectured on how to be a boring warrior."And no complaining!Or you will NOT be aloud to go penguin-sledding with Aang!"Sokka quickly warned in his cracked voice.The children immediately stopped groaning of complaint.
"Ok!First off,-"Sokka was cut off as a boy raised his hand."Yes?"he asked the eager little kid."Um I have to go pee!"Sokka put on a annoyed face,remembering the day the same kid asked the same question,and when Sokka asked if anyone else had to go,everyone raised their hands,and so of course the teaching was cut short.I won't let it happen this time...,he thought.Or hoped."No!You"ll just have to hold it until the lesson is over!"Sokka said sternly."But I really,REALLY need to go!!"complained the boy quickly,as he squirmed."I don't care!"came the reply from an impatient warrior."But Sokka,Gran Gran said it's not good to hold your pee too long.She said you can get bladder infection",piped up another boy to help out the one holding his pee. Sokka rolled his eyes. He didn't believe that,and just believed it was just an excuse for the boy to get out of today's lesson.But Sokka guessed he"ll let it slide today."Alright,fine...does anyone else need to go?"as he asked this,after a small pause,a shot of raised hands from the small band of boys followed.Sokka sucked his teeth.He hated when that happened."Ok fine..."he sighed.The little boys quickly got up and ran off where Sokka hoped they were actually going to the bathroom."....And don't take too long!"he included after the boys quickly.This is going to be a long day....he thought irritatingly.As he watched for his "little warriors" to return,Sokka decided to just sit and wait.Just then,Momo came running over and up on his shoulder,licking his lips.He probably just got done eating a peach,licking the last of the sweetness off his mouth."Oh hey there,Momo"Sokka looked at the flying lemur,putting on a small smile.At least he had company.It was strange,though,how he wasn't in the mood to watch the other warriors train for the upcoming war.He had no need to train right now,and besides,he was teaching the little thick headed boys,and had trained all morning.He felt determined and ready.But like his sister,Katara,he was a bit worried about it-the war.Even though the summer sun's warmth was not strong enough to melt the long lasting winter-like snow in the south pole,it still meant that the Firenation had an advantage.No Day of Black Sun to weaken them this time.But the Watertribe had an advantage,too.They had Aang,the Avatar.Sokka felt the boys were taking too long,so he got up and decided to search for the missing band of boys.When he went down the hill,he felt like he was going to explode.There,before him,the little boys were penguin-sledding with the goofy Airbender,Aang.Sokka still couldn't believe he was the Avatar."Aang!"Sokka complained,stomping his foot in protest.
"What?Oh hey,Sokka!"Aang noticed one of his best friends as he,sledding on a otter-penguin,sledded it over to Sokka
"What are you doing?!"Sokka said,frustrated.He should of known where those little brats would taken off to-here,penguin-sledding with Aang of course,but maybe he was too caught up in thinking,WORRYING about the summer war."I'm penguin-sledding!Want to join us?"Aang asked,interrupting Sokka's thoughts."What?No!!We have a war going on-" "you mean it's coming soon"Aang interrupted the impatient Sokka.Sokka,pausing for a moment,looked annoyed and went on,"....coming SOON....,and you're out here penguin-sledding?!" "Well...better to have fun before the war,I guess!"Aang replied defensively,giving Sokka one of his big smiles.Sokka shook his head."This is a very SERIOUS time!An IMPORTANT time!And I don't have time for those little brats running off to join you in stupid penguin-sledding!They need to-"before he can finish his speech-like sentence,Sokka was attacked by a hurling snowball,which hit him in the face.The little boys giggled and continued to throw snowballs at him.Aang sat there,laughing.He soon had to quickly get off the otter-penguin,because it was getting tired and irritated and probably wanted to go fishing,actually wanting to get away from the commotion.After the kids paid no attention to the rest of the otter-penguin crew,they too followed their friend.The laughing Airbender sat in the snow.Sokka just stood there,annoyed,and sighed(poor Sokka!).
