I smiled at him and got up to go to the bathroom I stopped looking out my window seeing my neighbors packing their stuff into a truck " I heard some new family is moving in next door to y'all or whatever in a few months" melo said walking over looking out the window too "yeah dats what Aaliyah said earlier I hope they got kids our age bc I need me a nigga" I joked melo smacked his lips "I need me a nigga" he mocked me in a high pitched voice "but was telling me you love me a sec ago foh wit that lani" he laughed I laughed going to the bathroom..........

6 months later

LANI POV

It was now summertime we had been out of school for a good 2 months melo and I were still dating even though he irritates tf outta me everything was good fr I was wit aaliyah we had just come back from the her house we was pulling up my driveway when we seen my new neighbors were finally moving in

"Bitch they better have a son I been single for too mf long" liyah complained I laughed we got out about to go inside I was just about to open the door "ooooouuuu girl look at him" liyah squealed I turned it was this darkskinned boy who was shirtless he was fine asf fr like melo who?? type fine "damn who is that?" I asked liyah looked at me like bitch really "Bitch idk but I'm bout to find out" she said about to walk over til I heard a car door slam I turned it was melo walking over to us I rolled my eyes "y'all ain't slick I seen who you was looking at get yo ass in the house" he said I rolled my eyes and walked inside "melo nigga u ruin everything no cap" liyah complained annoyed I laughed

"Whatever that boy wasn't that fine anyways" I said liyah smacked her lips "foh don't try and front bc ya mans here you was calling him fine 2 secs ago" she said "idc she can look but can't touch" he said I was surprised asf I smiled at him and ran towards the door he yanked me back "yo tf wrong wit you I was playing" he said liyah was laughing mad hard "lani you dumb asf to think this over protective ass nigga would even let you glance at another dude" she said "fym I do whatever tf I want to" I said she started rolling on the floor laughing "girl I know you lying to ya self rn" she laughed

We all sat on the couches melo pulled me onto his lap "can y'all stop wit dat lovey shit and pick a damn movie already" liyah said annoyed

2 hours later

Liyah had left and melo and I was still just chilling "you staying longer or going home?" I asked "I got practice in the morning tmrw I can't stay" he said I sighed "ight well I'm bout go to sleep anyways" I said getting up walking him to the door I was about to close the door after him but he stopped and turned "can I at least get a kiss goodbye a nigga ain't get one all day" he said I playfully rolled my eyes "just one none of that extra shit you like to be doing" I joked he shook his head I leaned in and kissed him but as usual this nigga wouldn't let me go and grabbed my waist closer deepening the kiss

I pulled away "see that's what I mean always doing to much" I said he smacked his lips "you my girl so I do what I want" he said being mad childish I rolled my eyes he kissed my cheek and left I went and sat back on the couch and my mom walked in "hey ma" I said she ignored me going into the kitchen "lil girl did you not get my text" she yelled "what text?" I asked confused  "I said to take these cookies in the kitchen and go introduce yo self to the new neighbors" she said "nah I ain't get no text" I said she came out the kitchen wit a plate giving it to me "what's the point of that damn phone if you ain't gone use it" she said I just sat there

"Get up off this couch and go say hi" she demanded "ma you fr rn I was finna go to sleep" I complained "sleep girl you funny you still got this whole kitchen to clean ain't no sleep now hurry up" she said I groaned going outside walking up the neighbors driveway they were still moving stuff in the house the boy came back outside and seen me he walked up to me smirking licking his lips looking me up and down I was tryna keep it together bc this nigga was fine asf shirtless and had hella abs

"Hi umm I'm Leilani I live next door welcome to the uh neighborhood" I smiled "wassup I'm Devin" he said "my mom made y'all cookies do y'all need help moving in or anything" I said handing him the cookies "nah we just finished thanks tho" he said I was kinda staring he chuckled "anything else?" He smirked "oh umm I can show you around or whateva and introduce you to some of my friends" i said he shook his head "yea that'd be cool since ion know nobody out here" he said "well here go number txt me if you need anything" I said waving walking away

I walked back inside "you do what I said" my mom asked I rolled my eyes "no I ate the cookies myself" I said wit an attitude and went upstairs getting on FaceTime wit liyah
