I panicked and backed up against the brick wall as much as I could. My palms started to sweat as I grasped for my double barrel. It only had one bullet left. One bullet left for me to shoot the last zombie before my death.

I whimpered as they started coming closer and closer. I aimed at a zombie, hoping I would shoot it in the head.

As I was about to pull the trigger there was suddenly a loud shot and I saw a guy shooting all of the zombies down. When there was none left, he turned to look at me. He pointed his gun at me and put his finger on the trigger. I quickly stood up and did the same, even if I only had one bullet.

We stood there for a few minutes before I slowly lowered my gun. He did the same and I started walking slowly towards him. I have no idea what I'm doing.

I held out my hand. Should I tell him my name? No, I don't even know the guy. "I'm Texas," I said quietly.

He licked his lips and looked at my hand before taking it. "Ontario," he replied. I quickly took my hand away and took in his features while he took in mine. He had chocolate brown eyes, ones that you could get lost in all day. He had plump, kissable lips, and his hair was spiked up. In other words, he was attractive. Too attractive for my liking.

"Thanks for uh... Saving me back there," I said, snapping out of my daze and looked down.

"You're welcome," he rasped, "hope you can fend for yourself next time. See you, don't die Texas."

Ontario turned on his heel and headed towards his Cadillac. "Wait!" I called, cursing at myself for doing that. Ontario turned around and looked at me. "What?" he snapped, glaring at me. "Uh... Can I ride with you? I don't really have anywhere else to go..." I looked down again. There was a moment of silence before Ontario sighed. "Fine, but hurry up or else I'm driving off without you in 5 seconds."

I quickly ran to the car and got in the passenger seat, buckling myself up. Ontario got in the driver's seat, starting the car up.

"You might want to buckle yourself up, you know, for safety," I warned. "Shut up," Ontario snapped, and pulled out of the gas station. I sighed angrily and rolled my eyes. This guy was a pain. Ontario pulled onto the road and drove almost to 100 miles.

"Slow down!" I shrieked. Ontario looked at me and smirked. "What? The world is full of zombies, it's not like I'll get pulled over." He turned his focus back to the road.

I leaned my head on the window and closed my eyes. Lord help me.

The sky was getting dark and I could tell Ontario was getting tired of driving, so he pulled up to an old abandoned house. The windows were cracked but not broken, and the roof was a little caved but not enough for zombies to get in. I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car, closing the door. "Go right and I'll go left, we gotta explore this place," Ontario said, already walking away.

I went right and saw nothing except a few bicycles on the ground. Some kids must've lived here. I walked through the front door and searched the house. Nothing. No zombies. I sighed in relief.

I walked into the kitchen, looking through the cabinets and seeing some ramen noodles and some other foods, like canned soup. I hated soup, and ramen noodles was definitely not what I was craving. Hey, I can be ungrateful in Zombieland!

A clash behind me made me jump and I quickly brought out my gun, turning around and shooting. Ontario stood there while the bullet went past his shoulder and into the wall.

Ontario's gaze followed it. "What the f-"

I coughed to interrupt him. "Sorry, I thought you were a zombie," I apologized.

Ontario looked back at me and rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

I gestured towards the cabinet. "Ramen noodles and canned soup, help yourself, Ontario."

Ontario walked to it, having to pull up his sagged jeans up along the way. He took out the ramen noodles while I stood there. He turned to me. "You aren't having anything?" Ontario asked.

"Not hungry," I lied.

Ontario snorted. "Then you might as well be a zombie." He turned to make it and I frowned. That kind of hurt. I'm not sure if pairing up with him was such a good idea.

Sorry if there was a mistake of some sort but I looked over to it and I didn't see any. I have so many ideas for this story. Woooo. Thanks for the reads/votes/comments etc. so far! next update will either be later tonight or tomorrow. xo
