I was lost in thoughts as whether I should say no or yes when suddenly Riya spoke.
"Eva?" Riya asked. "Are you here?"
I shook my head and started to face her.
"Yeah-h I am here."I said with fake smile.
"If you have any problem. Then it's okay."she said in a sad voice.
I looked at Anshika who was imitating for a no sign from behind the wall.
"You-u can."I said in a crack tone.
"Are you sure?"she asked.
"Yeah"I said with smile.
"Thank you so much Eva! You don't know how much you have helped me."she said while holding my hand.
"It's okay."I said with fake smile.
"I need to leave. It's time for my meeting. I will come tomorrow with my stuffs."she said.
"Oh yeah-h okay."I replied.
"Bye sweetie! I will see you tomorrow."she said to Anshika while waving hand towards her.
"Bye! " was just the reply from Anshika.
"Bye Eva! See you tomorrow."she said and hugged me and I hugged her back.
We bid our goodbye and I came back in house.
Anshika was standing there in anger.
"I told you not to allow her to stay here, still you didn't listened to me."said Anshika .
I sighed and left her there as I wasn't in the mood to argue.
I locked my bedroom and squat down about the door.
The anxiety which I felt those days was coming back after years. The pain in the chest, the sound in the ears which irritate you everytime when you are depressed was returning to me. I don't want to go back to the days which I have left with so much courage.
This girl has some other intension. She is not coming to live with us but to prove something.
My head was hidden in my knees when suddenly someone knocked at my door.
"Mumma!" Anshika said softly.
"Yeah?" I said while trying to hold tears.
"You are fine?"she asked
"I am. Just leave me for sometime."I said and heard footsteps of Anshika who was moving back.
This girl shouldn't see these things at these stage, this might lead to some problems with her.
I looked at the couple photo of mine and Ayaan, which was on the drawer.
Why you left me with so much depression?
*********
I opened my eyes and found myself sleeping in the floor, I tried to stand up by the support of the drawer.
When I looked at the clock it was 7:00p.m.
Oh shit! I slept and where is Anshika?
I opened the door and went to the drawing room to see my beautiful daughter lying her head on the sofa and whole body im the floor.
She is sleeping. Thank God!
I found one paper lying near to her head. I opened it and read.
Dear daddy,
I didn't saw you but love you a lot. I have seen your photos and it seems you were very handsome. Maybe I will never talk with you but I want you to come and be with mumma. I love you!
Your Anshika
Tears slipped from my eyes when I recognized that this girl thinks so much about me and I am not caring about her but fighting with myself.
I ran my hand through her hair and looked at her innocent face as to how she doesn't want to see her dad but want to see smile at my face.
Has she grown up that much? No, she hasn't grown up but she is mature a bit now.
Never thought my daughter will be like this.
I went in kitchen after placing the letter where it was.
After sometime I heard a voice.
"Mumma!" She called me and I looked towards her. She was showing me the letter which she wrote.
"Don't touch it! This is mine."she said.
"What it is? I won't touch promise."I replied.
"It's a secret."she said and ran towards her study table to hide it.
I smiled to myself and thought
Nobody can hide anything from mom.
But Anshika doesn't know it that I have saw it and I don't want her to know that I have read the letter.
