THE BLACKOUT

Kathy:

You've been searching?

Jack approach to her and read the letter. Kathy waits in silence, then he say

 

Jack:

I google the name! Ok?

Kathy:

Why? Oh... Hahahaha I know why! You are scared!

Jack:

Of course not!

Kathy:

Yeah... Right!

Jack:

I just wanna know... Why you were so... You know…

Kathy:

What?

Jack:

I'm freaking out, ok?

Kathy:

Just might be paranoid! – she says singing, it was an old joke –

Jack:

Hahaha… Maybe... Yeah! And now that I know he's alive... I'm even more scared! This is like…

Kathy:

A horror movie?

Jack:

Exactly!

Kathy:

Let read this! There's must be something!

Jack sit next to Kathy and they hear something. Both open their eyes and Kathy screams. The light down till stay on a blackout.

Kathy:

Jack!

Jack:

It' s ok! I'm here

Emma:

Aaaaaaaah!

Jack and Kathy:

Emma!

They run through the halls trying to find Emma.

 

Kathy:

Emma! Where are you?

Jack:

Emma! Honney are you ok?

Kathy:

Fuck! What's going on?

Kathy star to cry

 

Jack:

Easy! Ok? Everything is ok!

Kathy:

If everything's ok... Where's my little sister?

Kathy try to find her lightening on her wardrobe, but she can't. Jack come around with his lightning and both walks the halls of the house to Emma's room.

When they arrive, Emma is lying on her bed, like sleep. Kathy look at Jack and then run to Emma's bed. She shake Emma, but Emma don't wake up

 

Kathy:

Jack! Do something!

Jack:

What? What can I do?

Kathy:

Bring a glass of watter!

Jack:

Ok!

He start to walk with the lightning on hand

Kathy:

What are you doing?

Jack:

I'm going to the kitchen!

Kathy:

With the lightening?

Jack:

How am I supossed to down the stairs?

Kathy:

How am I supossed to take care of Emma if can't even see her?

Jack look at Kathy and give her the lightening. He walk as fast  as he can considering he can’t even see his own foots.

He down the stairs and look for a candle in the kitchen. He find one and turn it on. He find a glass of water and run up stairs.

When he arrives nobody’s there. Jack stare watching.

Jack (almost whispering):

Kathy? Emma?

He hear something and close his eyes. When he open the eyes, his candle is off.

Jack:

Shit!

He can't see anything, but he can feel something behind him. Something or somebody take Jack by his foots making him fall.

Jack:

Aaaaah!
