Do you know any people that are scared of eerie silence and darkness, like whenever you feel like somthing was gonna jump out at you at any moment of time? Well I'm one of those people. But where I was-in my head in this case or unconscious-I felt extremely calm and comfortable. I didn't feel the pain that should have been there from the wolf attack, and that surprised me.
"Hello? Is anyone their?" I called out as I looked all around me. The silence didn't make me fearful, it was more of just like you knew something was their, but they were invisible and protecting you. Many long moments went by of silence until I heard a continuous clicking noise coming from in front of me. My body tensed slightly at the unexpected noise, but it relaxed after a few seconds. Fog seemed to have formed around me as the clicking got louder and louder. Being the scaredy cat I sometimes am, I squatted down and covered my head with my arms while I smashed my eyes shut. I noticed that the clicking stopped all of a sudden and everything went dead silent.
"It's OK little one, you don't have to be afraid." said a soft voice that sounded very sweet and gentle.
I hesitiated for a few seconds before slowly looking up, my eyes landed on a giant wolf with brown fur and one blue and green eye. A gasp escaped my lips as the wolf leaned close to me, taking a sniff at my hair along with the fact that the scene around me was turning into what looked like a big field that was covered in flowers, with a mountain in the distance. My body tensed at the touch of its wet nose on my forehead. I fell on my butt and scooted away from it, causing the massive wolf to whimper.
"Please don't be scared of me. I've been waiting for a chance to finally meet my person, and you are that person. I am your wolf that will now be your partner. I need your trust so we can be friends and get along." pleaded the wolf as she stepped closer to me. I froze in place and stared at the wolf's eyes, searching for the truth. The longer I stared at her, I saw that she wasn't lying to me as I saw the plea and truth in her eyes. I slowly nodded my head at her before standing up and inching closer to it.
"I will try and trust you, but I have a few questions to ask you." I said as I raised a hand to her, and placing it on top of its head. It nodded its head in response before lowering its head and purring as I stroked its head and rubbed its ears.
"First, what is your name exactly, since you said that you want to be my friend and all." I asked as I stared at the wolf's massive body and rubbed its head. The purring/growling noise got louder as I continued to rub the top in circles.
"I'm Nicole, the Earth element wolf, so you can control anything related to the ground." she said as she pulled away from my arm and tilted her head at my direction. I smiled a toothy grin at how cute she was, even if she was huge. I nodded my head at her and tilted my head back, before going into a fit of laughter. The fear and shock that I was in not even two minutes ago was gone, replaced with a calm aura and peace.
"I'm Jenna, the normal human. At least, until a few minutes ago." I giggled as I straightened up again and smiled again.
"Yeah sorry about the attack, I saw that and I feel sorry that happened. Those were a group of rouges." she said as she whimpered and lowered her head in shame. I frown with worry and stepped closer to her in an attempt for comfort.
"You shouldn't apologize, it's not your fault. You couldn't do anything about it." I said as I placed my hand under her chin and gently raised her head back up to look at me, "Never apologize for something you didn't do."
