"It was the Worst storm known to man." Media projected the scenes from that night, all over the globe. Hurricanes devoured cities, lightning shot down at houses like they were the enemy, in a battle of life and death. But are they? The whole country was in danger, as all four elements threw their weight around carelessly ripping up trees and tossing them into rivers and busses. Trains were taken up in the wind and played around with until it was boring, and then dropped from the highest point of the sky. It was chaos. You could say unworldly.
Families flee from house to house screaming with fear. In the centre of town, a little drive from the old park there was a two bedroomed house. The Johnsons lived there with their newly born baby; Ruby. In fear, both parents ran inside the house forgetting their fragile baby. After stepping foot in the house, the realization hit home and Ruby's mum went running out of the house, but it was too late. The massive oak tree had fallen over and forced the door shut. Whilst pushing the door desperately she started to cry screaming for her baby. But then the storm stopped. The world went silent, all trees that were once frantically swaying now stood still. The clouds darkened, now I don't mean darkened like it was going to rain, but like a massive dark object was coming closer, very close.
A cold bean of blue light shone down, she stood with tears running down her face but silent. The beam hit the grass and travelled smoothly to the baby, Ruby. Her Mum helplessly watched through the broken glass of the door, as her precious child was taken up. Up into the clouds.
News reporters tried to explain, policemen tried to investigate what happened that day but nothing was found. All the Johnsons wanted to know was where was their Ruby...
