Chapter 1

" Lately, I been, I been losing sleep. Dreaming about the things that we could be. But baby, I been, I been prayin' hard. Said no more counting dollars. We'll be counting stars. "

I turned off my camera and started to edit my video for YouTube. Yes I am a youtuber.

When I was just about half way through, i was interrupted by a loud banging on my door. "FAMILY MEETING!", my mom screamed throughout the whole house. I got up from my desk slowly then ran downstairs. "This can't be good" I whispered to my sister.

We never had family meetings, unless someone died, or we're going somewhere for the summer. Or ... Moving.

Me and Alyssa sit on one couch and my mom sits I another. There was an awkward silence, so I decided to break it. "Mom... What's up?" I asked. She looked at me worried.

"Okay,I'm just gonna say.. We are moving." She says really fast. I hardly heard her, but I heard that we were moving clearly.

Alyssa screamed and I just sat there with my eyes wide open. Alyssa was still screaming and my mom covered her ears. "SHUT UP!" I yelled while cover her mouth with my hand. When she finally calmed down, I waited for her to say something.

I knew that wasn't going to happen any sooner so I just spoke up. "Um.. Why?" I asked. "Well, I can't pay for this house any more. It's just to much ever since.." She said trailing off.

My dad had died 2 years ago, and my mom has been depressed ever since. Me and Alyssa looked at each other knowing that we had to be happy, for moms sake.

"Okay " Alyssa said. "Where are we moving?" I asked my mom stared at us . "Um.. That's the thing." She said, "um.. We're leaving tomorrow."

My eyes widened again. Then I remembered that I didn't even know where we are going. "Um okay then. But where are we moving too?" I asked . "North Carolina, because the house there are bigger and cheaper." She said. "Okay" I said while. Running up the stairs.

We're leaving tomorrow at 7 freaking clock in the morning. I need to pack.
