Trouble // One Shot

"Did you send it yet?" Michael asked from his spot next to me on my bed.

"Of course I did, Michael." I replied. Michael had pulled off something that everyone was going to be very excited about.

"Well what did you say?" he asked.

"Why don't you check your phone?" I reply annoyed. 

Michael pulled out his phone and read the text out loud.

"Taco Bell. 15 minutes. Me and Mikey have some great news. See ya there."

"They're not going to believe that I actually pulled this off!" he said.

"Yeah, we might as well get going so that we can be at Taco Bell before them." I said, standing up from my spot on my bed and putting my shoes on. Michael gets up off of my bed and leads us out of my room.

It is 7:55 and 10 minutes have gone by since I sent out the text to our group of friends. Michael is sat next to me at the small table in Taco Bell. By the way he can't seem to sit still at all, I could tell he could hardly wait to tell our friends the news. They were going to have a proper freak out when they found out.

A couple more minutes go by, then Michael nudges me with his arm. I looked up at him and he nods towards the entrance. I watch as Ashton and Luke walked in together with Amber and Calum trailing behind. 

Ashton glances around the small restaurant and smiles brightly when his eyes find our table. He steps towards our table as the others follow after him. 

"Where are Abbi and Cassidy?" Michael asks as they approach our table. 

"They're on their way, Cass just texted me." Ashton responds, sitting down at the table. 

"So, whats this 'great news' you have for us?" Amber asks using air quotes around 'great news'.

"Oh god! You're not pregnant, are you?" says Luke sounding panicked. 

"NO!" Michael and I say at the same time, laughing. It was crazy to even think about that happening, seeing as we are college students.

"Thank god! I'm not ready to be an uncle!" says Calum, breathing out a sigh of relief. 

"Hey guys! What's was so important that we needed to meet here?" says Cassidy as her and Abbi find a seat at our table. 

"Well," Michael starts out, looking towards me, "Me and Kara have a surprise for you all."

"In 3 hours exactly, we will be having the time of our lives. Michael is taking us to..," I trail off, nodding at Michael, who can barely contain himself.

"A RAVE!" Michael exclaims.

For the next couple of seconds everybody is yelling "Oh my god!", "What?!", and "No way!".

I nod excitedly and shush them before we attract attention form the people in Taco Bell. Once they quiet down I respond, "Its true, we actually don't have to worry much about getting arrested or anything because it's in an abandoned warehouse by the woods!" I look around at everybody at the table and see them smiling and nodding.

"So ladies and gents, prepare your glitter, glowsticks, paint, or whatever the fuck else you need and get ready  to go fucking mental!" Michael exclaims.

It's 11:37 when we pull up to the abandoned warehouse in Michael's van.

After Taco Bell, everyone headed back to their rooms to get ready for the rave. Let's just say there was a lot of neon and glitter for the girls and for the guys there was a lot of glow-in-the-dark paint on their shirtless bodies. It was actually pretty funny how Luke didn't want to be shirtless or painted on but as soon as Amber told him he should do it, he was all for it. 

As we climb out of Michael's van, we hear the music pounding from inside the warehouse and there are all sorts of colored lights coming from the entrance. 

"This is going to be sick!" says Calum. 

We all silently nod in agreement, looking around astonished at our surroundings. 

"Let's head in!" says Ashton excitedly walking towards the warehouse.

"Wait a sec," Michael says before everyone has the chance to walk towards the entrance. "I have something!"

Michael  reaches into his pocket as everyone leans in to try to see what he is pulling out. As Michael pulls his hand out of his pocket, I can finally see what he has. It's a small baggy containing small, white pills. Typical Michael. It wouldn't be fun forwithout the drugs. 

"What is that?!" Abbi yells at Michael while pointing at the bag.

As I look around I see that Amber and Cassidy are already reaching for the bag and Calum and Luke look hesitant. 

"What do you think it is?" Michael replies sarcastically, "You want one?" he says offering the bag to Abbi after handing Amber and Cassidy a pill and taking one himself. Abbi refuses to take a pill, as well as Calum.

"Kare?" Michael says nodding towards the bag. I nod and take a pill from the bag. I hand Michael back the bag as I place the small pill on my tongue and swallow it. "Luke? Ash?" Michaels asks.

Ashton looks pensitive and looks from the bag to Michael then to Luke. "Oh fuck it!' Ashton mutters grabbing the bag and taking a small pill and swallowing it like the rest of us. "Hammy?" Ashton asks, nudging Luke. 

Luke stares at the bag and says "I-I don't k-know." 

"C'mon Luke, live a little!" Amber speaks up, smiling brightly. 

Hearing Amber say that, Luke finally perks up and willingly takes a pill. 

"All right," yells Michael, holding me around the waist and leading me towards the entrance. "Let's go!"

Everyone shouts out in agreement and follows Michael to the entrance of the warehouse. 

As we get closer, the music keeps getting louder and there seems to be more neon lights flashing everywhere. There are groups of people standing outside, girls in tutus and dozens of shirtless guys, and couples hungrily making out. 

As we reach the entrance, Michael nods to the guy and he nods back and lets us through. 

We all walk in and the atmosphere is great. There are people our age dancing, enjoying themselves everywhere. We all stand together taking in the view of the lights, the sweaty, dancing people, and the great music pounding in our ears. 

"Let's do this!" Michael shouts getting ready to pull me into the crowd. Everyone is smiling brightly towards the crowd and we all nod in agreement.

"And remember, if the cops show up, just run!" Ashton shouts loudly over the music before everyone disappears into the crowd of people.
