Tree was sitting in front her, as always the ginger kept a smile even in the worst of times. Taylor observed her from the living room frame where she was standing. Her fingernails were shorter than ever, result of bitting them all these past three days, and her hair was longer, a decision made for a future event that will not come anymore.
It wasn't good that the redhead woman was sitting there, and neither was good that her whole family was present in her apartment. Austin and Scott were in the kitchen making some coffee, her mom was upstairs waiting for her.
"So, I need to know what are we going to do with Karlie?" Tree asked, calmly because she knew they had only one option left.
Taylor gave her a nod, she was tired of thinking about the topic, and moved from the frame to grab the papers. Tree smiled, amicable but it was a sympathetic smile. The woman didn't show it, but she was worried about the consequences of what Taylor was about to do; and more about Karlie's possible reaction.
Taylor went upstairs, every single step left her without air; she was tired and what came next was going to change her life forever. Reaching the last step, she saw her mother standing and nodding, tears were forming in Taylor's eyes again for the third time since the morning.
She opened the door and saw Karlie sitting in the middle of the bed, Karlie's face was beautiful, as always, the jeans and the shirt she was wearing were simple but even that made her look perfect. The girl eyed Taylor and gave her a nervous smile, her hands trembling while playing with the mobile she was holding in her shaky hands.
Holding her best posture, Taylor gave her a pen and the papers she had in hand. Karlie looked into her eyes, she couldn't believe it.
"You need to sign everything, I want you out from the apartment at 7:00 today. Leave your key with my mom or one of the boys." She didn't give a look to Karlie, who was surprised and speechless.
"Taylor," she stammered, "we can fix this. I don't need any NDA, we can work together on this. It was a mistake, we only need to talk and Tree will help us." Karlie was observing every single detail on Taylor's face, she needed her more than air; yeah what she did was unforgivable but she needed to, she wanted to help.
"Karlie, don't make this harder. You have until that hour to take all your things and leave," Taylor replied, still not looking at Karlie.
"I don't want to leave, I won't sign those papers." she threw them away, towards the floor to be precise. "I'm gonna stay and you and I we are going to talk. "
Taylor ignored her, she took the papers and gave them back to Karlie, who took them hesitantly and read them.
"This is so dumb, people is gonna start asking questions about us. If I don't mention you at least one time in any interview they'll rise questions."
"I don't care Karlie, you did what you did." she breathed, " You chose to continue being Kushner's beard, you signed those papers without telling me and then you fly away with him without telling me."
"I wanted to help, look Tay he is going to need lots of help. He's not that bad and also he has no time for a girlfr-" Karlie tried to explain but Taylor left the room, she followed her downstairs.
