"That sounds like something straight out of a Nicolas Spark's movie." Jordan retorted smacking his food tray on the table.

"I don't really care because believe it or not Emre is great at math and he explains very well. And I really need his help. This plan may sound super stupid, but I'd do anything to get my grades up." I said after explaining the whole deal between Emre and me.

"Are you sure though? This plan includes Savannah whom you've had a rough time with if you forgot." Toby stated, looking at me concerningly.

"No, I didn't forget, but if he's doing this for me, I'll suck it up and live with it," I answered.

"How will this work anyways?" Akira asked.

"I don't know, I'll probably just search up on the internet on how to become a gentleman." I shrugged.

"Oh, lord. This will be messy." Jordan chuckled as I did too.

"Anyways, keep me updated, I'm going to go to chemistry class. I need to catch up on a few things." Akira said, picking up her things and smiling tiredly at us.

"She's really up to date with school even after having a kid, Jesus," Toby said after a few moments.

Her pregnancy was really unexpected at age 15. I still remember the day she called me, crying and telling me she was pregnant. We still didn't know who the father was, only she knew. I couldn't help but feel curious, but it's been a sensitive topic for her and I didn't care because having Sora was probably the best thing that ever happened to her and I couldn't be happier for her.

"Speaking of Sora, she's turning four soon! What are we going to do for her birthday?" I asked, eagerly.

"Oh, I have a few ideas! How about a pool party with bouncy castles and a slip and slide?" Jordan proposed.

"I love it! I'll do the decorations and take care of the food. You guys are doing the invitations and buying the bouncy castle and everything else because I'm broke." I exclaimed, clapping my hands.

"Bossy bitch," Jordan muttered while Toby laughed.

"Whatever, you're still doing it," I answered, unimpressed.

"Bring your brother and sisters too," Toby said.

"I'll try with my brother, he's being an ass lately with his puberty coming soon or whatever," I said, throwing my long dark brown hair in a loose bun.

"Oh, cover your ears if you hear any weird sound coming from his room," Toby replied while sharing a look with Jordan who was smirking.

"What? Oh, ew!" I made a disgusted face while shivering as they both laughed.

Soon enough, it was the end of the day and I took the bus to go back home. I unlocked my door and took off my shoes. I was immediately greeted by the sight of my 13-year-old brother, Mateo doing a TikTok while Melisenda, my four-year-old sister was dancing in the background. Mercedes or as we like to call her Mimi, my 16-year-old sister was on her phone in the kitchen.

"Mateo! Stop that, you look dumb!" I said, taking Meli in my arms and giving her a big sloppy kiss as she giggled. I ruffled Mateo's hair who glared at me and then stopped recording.

"You're the one who's dumb!" He said and started recording another video.

"Finally, you're home! I can't support these two!" Mimi threw her arms up as I smiled at her.

"Did Meli take a bath?" I asked my pregnant mom who was coming down the stairs with Marcos in her arms.

"Sí."
