Mr. Greene's Assistant

Green Eyes

Katherine parks in front of the Alpha Publishing Company in her Toyota Prius, extremely nervous. She has every right to be since this is her first job, and prior to today, hearing secretaries before her telling the horror stories of the extremely strict Chad Greene, the CEO of this company.

She takes a deep breath to help slow down her heart, which is beating at the rate of an unborn child's, and puts on one last coat of red lip stick on before stepping out of her car and taking cautious steps towards the tall, intimidating, modern-looking glass building. Once she steps inside, she is greeted by a young woman with pale blonde hair and blue eyes to match it, with the name Stacy, "Hello! How can I help you?"

Katherine steps up to the desk and asks quietly, a bit louder than a mouse, "I need to find Chad Greene's office. It's my first day..."

"Awe honey! You're gonna last a week, maybe, with that little voice! So adorable!"

Katherine closes her eyes so she can't be seen rolling her eyes a full 360 degrees inside her skull, and inhales sharply. "Which room is it?"

"It's all the way on the top floor, floor 115!" Stacy says with a bright, but fake smile.

"Thank you.." Katherine squeaks quietly, now feeling anxious again for meeting the stranger who is going to be a part of her life for five years at least, due to a contract she signed.

She walks over to an elevator and quietly gets in, a pop song playing quietly as she rides up to the top floor. She starts humming along to the song, not noticing she is tapping her foot also.

Within five minutes she is up at floor 115 and the elevator doors open eerily slow. No music is playing on this floor and all can be seen, due to the blinding light coming from all three walls of be enormously large room, is a floor plant, a desk, and a chair.

The large room must be for his large ego. She thought to herself as she starts walking forward, her high heels making small clicks with each step.

Once she is close enough to the desk, the chair suddenly swivels around, and a devilishly handsome man, with bright green eyes, sitting in it. He scans my body from head to toe and starts wearing a small smirk on his chiseled face. His hands were just beneath his face, only touching by fingertips, while his elbows are resting on the armrests of his office chair.

"My name is Chad Greene, and you are?" He raises an eyebrow and scans Katherine's body again.

"My name is Katherine.." She clears her throat and looks at the ground. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." He growls lowly. Katherine snaps her head up and nods, with wide eyes, anxiety and heartbeat already through the roof.

"Oh...this will be fun.." Chad chuckles to himself quietly and stands up from his chair. "How about you get me some coffee, while I set up some projects for me to look at?"

"That's all the way down on the first floor.." Katherine almost whispers.

"I know what the hell I said! Go get it! Now!" Chad snaps at her quickly, almost acting like a dog.

Katherine nods frantically and runs to the elevator, hoping she will make it through just today without wanting to quit her job.

Hello! After being missing (on Wattpad) for about three to four years, I have improved my writing game and am ready to do this shit. Now to warn you, there will be explicit language in here... I should probably mark this book for mature audiences, even though it's only bad language in here.
Anyway! This is not even chapter one. I just wanted to show a little bit of my ideas and see how it goes.
