Pypa's POV
Pypa was sick or planes, her father was constantly moving and since Pypa's mother had died 2 years before, she was always following after him. In the past year alone she had lived in Alabama, New York, Rome, France, Germany and New Zealand. Before her mother had died Pypa had lived in the Gold Coast, Australia and boy did she miss her friends. The only good thing about this move was that it would be final, she was getting sent to boarding school so her father could move around and not worry about her. Pypa found it easy to make friends, but she was a bit worried that the other kids here might be snobs and if there was one thing she hated more than planes, it was snobs.*ba dump ba dump* the landing gears touched down on the foreign soil, from here some lady named "Madam Vieille Sorcière" and having lived in France for some time, Pypa knew that it translated into "old Hag". She was the principal at Pypa's new school and based on first impressions, this was going to be a tough year. When Pypa first noticed the principal at the terminal she had her finger up her nose and her other hand covered in a suspicious brown substance, Pypa wasn't about to ask what it was. She greeted Pypa with a booming "welcome my girl, to East California!" She paused for a moment before continuing,"I will be your principal for however long you manage to last at St Marks Boarding School, my name is Madam Vieille Sorcière, but most of the children call me Madam V"
She waited for a response. So Pypa happily obliged, "you do know that Vieille Sorcière translates to "old Hag" in French, right?"
Let's just say the principal wasn't too happy with this response. After a 20 minute drive they finally pulled up the old grim gates. In a cold iron banner running along the top of the barn wire tipped gates were the words "St Marks Boarding School for Troubled Youth"
But to be fair, it was the decorations that frightened Pypa the most, I mean seriously, Tulips and Lily's? What were they thinking!. After pulling up to the front office Pypa hurried inside to grab her dorm number and schedule, raring to go she blurted out her information to the office attendant and waited on the tips of her toes. Pypa was pretty sure that the attendant was half sloth, by the time she finally got her dorm number she would have been as old as the dinosaurs, (or Madam V, she was pretty sure they were the same age). After what seemed like an eternity she finally collected a set of keys with the numbers "666" and a piece of paper with her timetable on it. Not even waiting for Madam V, she ran off to find her dorm, however, after ending up in a janitors closet, she realised it may have been a bad idea not to wait. She got there in the end, eventually finding the room labelled "666", it was at the top of a lonely tower, which by the way, had soooooo many stairs, she grabbed the old brass knocker and pushed it down 3 times and stood waiting for an answer."Hello?" Came a small voice from inside.
"Hiiiiiii!" Pypa replied, "I'm your new roommate, could you let me in please?"
A tall girl with shoulder length brown hair and small almond shaped eyes answered the door, she was wearing a green and white t-shirt with a pair of denim jeans, behind her, half of the room had been lavishly decorated with pink, yellow and blue flags, along with a rainbow one above her bed. "Hi, I'm Dawn, nice to meet you"
She stuck out her hand and Pypa shook it firmly "ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh, ARE YOU PANSEXUAL!?!?"
Dawn locked taken aback for a moment for before giving a small nod, she then said "if you want to change rooms you can"
This puzzled Pypa for a second, then she realised that most of the kids here must have been homophobic, "no, ohmygods that's not why I asked, it's just that I'm asexual/aromantic so I thought it would be really awesome to have a fellow LGBTQ+ roommate"
Smiling, Dawn let Pypa into the room to put her suitcases down on her side of the room, then together they headed down to the mess hall to compare time tables and other school related things, little did they know, that this would be the start of an unstoppable duo.Hey guys it's Tee, I hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to vote and comment!
