The forest and the sign

A/N: ok so I know that my story has had a few problems here and there. So I have been working on other stuff and I think I have improved. So Enjoy!

(Forever fall forest)
(Y/N P.O.V)

Me and the rest of the class were following Ms.Goodwitch through forever falls forest. I had already split off from the group. I had three jars, I knew we each only needed one but having a spare two wouldn't hurt. I had just gotten my final jar full when I saw a Grimm. It wasn't any ordinary Grimm either, it was a satyr Grimm. I felt my blood freeze for a moment, 'they couldn't be here, could they?...'. I got up and quietly followed it. "Where are you going?..."

I followed it through the forest. I saw it climb a mountain and enter a cave in the middle. I put my bag down and started to climb. When I got to the mouth of the cave I saw about three dozen satyr Grimm in the cave, they were all gathering around a centaur Grimm. 'Crap this is bad...maybe I can take out the satyr's...but centaurs are typically clever in combat and survival'. I then started to back away from the entrance. I was trying to think of a plan 'I can't just leave...but there are a lot of them'. I then heard a squealing noise. It was a boarbatusk, I lunged forward and snapped it's neck. Sadly the other Grimm already heard it. I got into a fighting stance, the first Grimm charged at me, I grabbed its arm and threw him into three others. I then saw two more come at me, I elbowed one in the face and slammed it into the other one. I then saw one about to slash at me with its claws. I grabbed the arm and made it stab another one in the head. I then grabbed the arm, ripped it off and stabbed the Grimm with it. 'Well two down, 34 to go'. I then jumped up as one charged at me, the Grimm then fell on to three others. I landed on their heads, effectively killing all four. I activated one of my semblance's, after that I started to speed around, snapping necks and tearing off heads. When I was done all of the Satyr's where dead on the ground, except for one that I had impaled on a pointed rock. I then felt the ground vibrate beneath me. I looked at the cave and saw the centaur come out. I stood in a fighting stance as it charged at me. When it reached me I sent a jab at it, that it dodged, it then hit me with its club into the mountain. "Ooowww......"

I fell down and rolled out of the way of the Grimm trying to swing down with its club. I got back up and dodged another swing, right after the club passed over my head I uppercut the centaur. I then moved a few feet back to avoid another swing. 'This isn't working...'. I grabbed my necklace and pulled it off as the centaur swung its club down, before it could hit me I blocked it with a shield. I then rolled underneath it and let my shield turn into duel wielding swords, I then stabbed the two swords into the Grimm. After hearing it roar in pain I yanked out my swords and rolled out from underneath it. I just barely made it out of another swing, this time though it was a little more sloppy in its attack. 'Good it is angry...'. I then charged at it, I blocked its club with one of my swords and stabbed it with the other. After I started to stab it I heard it cry out in pain, I continued to stab it, until it dropped its club and fell down on its knees. I then placed my swords on its neck. "Where are the others, where is your leader?!!"

Grimm:"I'll never talk, you may as well kill me now, human!"

You:"I had a feeling you were going to say that *sigh* fine."

I then cut off the top of its body from the bottom. It roared in agony. I then stabbed it to the mountain side. "So are you ready to talk, or do I need to let you feel some thing even more painful?"

I then used another one of my semblance's to burn its wound and make it reopen again and again. This lasted for about ten minutes, every three seconds the wound would open and close and open again. It wouldn't stop squealing, I finally pulled away. "Ready to talk?"

Grimm:"Ok, ok I'll talk, our master is gathering his forces for some reason, I don't know why I was just told to scout this area, many areas in remnant are being scouted as we speak, I don't know any thing else!!"

You:"I believe you."

I then cut off its head and pulled my swords out. They then turned back into a necklace that I put on. I proceeded down the mountain and grabbed my bag with the jars in it. Once I had my bag I started to go back to the class. When I got there they were just getting ready to leave. From what the others were saying there had been a Grimm attack and Jaune had beaten it. 'Well that's unexpected'. We all then headed back to beacon. I asked rwby if Jaune had really beaten that Grimm, she said more or less. I shrugged it off 'doesn't really matter anyway'. Once we where back at beacon we all turned in our jars, I kept my spare jars, and went to our dorms. I then got ready for bed, which I couldn't wait for after today. I was about to go to bed when I heard a knock a the door, I look at my alarm and see it was 9:15pm. 'Who could that be at this time?'. I opened the door to see Ruby standing there, and she look as red as her cape. "Oh, hey Ruby, can I help you."

Ruby:"H-hey (y-y/n), i w-was wondering if y-you wanted to j-join me and my t-team tomorrow? we are going into town s-since there are no c-classes."

I smiled at her which made her, if even possible, turn a darker shade of red. "I would love to, just call me when you guys are ready."

I handed her a piece of paper with my number on it. She nodded but seemed a little shy. I hugged her hoping to calm her, it just made her even more red. "Well night Ruby."

I closed the door and fell asleep. 'Today was exhausting.'

(Ruby's P.O.V)

'I was a stuttering mess, a-and he hugged me, plus I got his NUMBER!!'. I smiled at this thought. I walked back to my dorm. When I got there I changed clothes and got into bed, though I kept (y/n)'s number with me. Yang then came up to me. "What ya got there Ruby?"

Me:"N-nothing."

Yang:"Ooh, so you wouldn't mind if I TAKE IT!!"

Tang snatched it. "HAY!!"

Yang looked at it and smiled. "You got his number."

Ruby:"W-well he said to call him when we are ready to go tomorrow, I asked him to join us."

Yang:"Sweet, well this will be interesting then."

With that we all went to sleep.

A/N: ok well their you guys go a new chapter. Also that necklace is your weapon, it will be shown in either the next chapter or the one after on what it looks like. I may update soon, or I may finish my Toph x reader story fist then update this one, since this one will have more chapters. Until next time, Bye!
