Chapter 1 =)

I swam and swam on as the night grew to day. The trees cast their shadows as the moon shone down upon them. The water was cool, but of course had it's warm spots.

I was swimming to this far away place that my grandmother had spoken of years ago before she had died. I missed her a lot, but she had once told me to pity the living, not the dead.

So that's what I did. I pitied my bland parents back at home, living under the ruler of shut up and sit down or die. I didn't think kindly of his rules, so I was running away.

Ever since I was young, I'd wondered what it be like to run away. I've always been an adventure seeking freak. It never really had bothered my dad, but worried sick my mom. Oh well, I had always said when she whispered frantically whenever I even spoke of adventures and rebellions against the ruler.

When I had left, I left no note, or sign or anything.

All that I had brought with me was some clothes, my usual toiletries, a bottle of water, a purifier ( pocket size), my notebook and my pencils (with extra erasers and a sharpener too), a hoodie, and a small duffel bag to carry it all in. (I also had some food in there too). And to beat all that, my bag was water proof...yay! Which was why I could swim (in my swimming trunks) and have my duffel bag on my back.

I decided to wade over to a nice place on the bank to sit and catch my breath.

I surveyed the area I was in. It was clear, pretty water, with little minnows and fish swimming happily around. There were even a few frogs and salamanders basking in the early morning sunlight.

Rays of the electromagnetic spectrum came through, as the moon sank down behind the vast mountains of blues and purples. It was beautiful out here. I never got to realize that till now.

Back at home, we hardly ever saw the sunrise because we awoke at approximately 9am. The Sun was always up by then. To sum up life in Towns Ville (creative huh?)= it sucked.

While the sun rose slowly, I took the time to lay back and relax.

The pretty red, orange, pink, and yellow colors reached out to me. I sighed. I had made it (almost, not quite there yet) to the place my grandmother had told me about years ago.

I was in Griffin County. A little but large county on the east coast of our country. You know, the FSA? Duhh...(Freedom Sounds Awesome).

Wow, where have you been? Oh well.

I gazed wondrously at the sky, then closed my eyes slowly, feeling the warmth of the sun creeping up over me. I loved morning. It was peaceful, I loved it, so I was happy.

I was tired, and was in extreme need of some z's.  So about 5 minutes later, I was fast asleep.
