Beca's POV; Me, Jesse and dad are moving from Québec, Canada to Atlanta, Georgia. Due to dad's job being relocated. We're leaving most our family behind except for my 3 cousins Wyatt,Jackson and Connor as well as my Uncle Logan and Auntie Jewels (my uncle is dads brother)

I'm glad they're coming with us, they are who I'm closer with In the family, Me, Jess ,Wyatt ,Con and Jack use to go snowboarding. We were actually pretty good, we entered many competitions making our own team as well as our own snowboard and gear range called Team Swan-Mitch. Due to moving we will be starting at Barden High well except for Wyatt who will be at Barden University. Dads job wasn't the only reason we're moving, when a video of me kissing a girl drunk was posted I was outed before I was ready. This lead to a lot of criticism and bullying at school and even worse life at home with my mum. She's very homophobic and whenever it was just me and her in the house she would hurt me mentally and physically, I didn't tell anyone. Jesse and dad finally found out when, Jesse came home early from his weekend job. He walked in while I was knocked out on the floor with a bust nose and black eye, my 'mum' standing over me screaming homophobic comments. Being the amazing guy he is, he called the police and dad before he intervened, due to my 'mum' preferring him, he managed to move her away from me and keep her distracted until the police and dad arrived. What none of them knew was that i had been cutting due to stress. An ambulance arrived with the police, I saw my 'mum' being arrested as I had just gained consciousness and was being carried out on a stretcher. When In hospital I learnt I had 2 broken ribs and jess and dad learnt I'd been cutting, I promised I wouldn't again. After my ribs healed we decided that after all the drama we wanted a new start, it just so happened that the others were moving too. So that's how we got here, standing outside a 3 storey house with 2 cars in the drive and the moving van on the street.

We own an Audi R8 and a pickup truck, the Audi being mine and jesses and the pickup, dads. We are not low on money as we have my dad who works and we had the team Swan-Mitch brand as well as me and Jesse were sponsored by red bull, when we use to snow board. Our house has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a gaming room, a home cinema and a pool obviously on top of the normal rooms such as the kitchen and dining rooms. Me and Jesse both have an en suite but dad didn't want one, I don't know why.

Our rooms were decorated before we arrived. I walk in and go upstairs to find my room, I'm on the top floor. When I walk in, I just flip on my bed. After half an hour of resting I decide to be useful. I trudge downstairs and grab a box to bring up "About time Beca." Dad says. "What I was only half hour" I respond. "Look at what me and J have done" for the first time I actually take in my surroundings, the whole living room has been set up. It looks amazing. "Oh k fair enough, anyway I'm gonna go set up my mixing equipment." I tell my dad. "I'll call you down for tea , takeout alright?" "Yep" I call from halfway up the first flight of stairs. I hang up my clothes and sort out my drawers before setting up my equipment. I have to have it perfect. Mixing has always been a hobby of mine along with snowboarding, but now we moved I feel I'm gonna be mixing a lot more due to lack of snow. I go down for tea and just fall asleep as soon as I'm back on my bed, tired from the move.
