IV. Shouto Todoroki

"Oh no! Just when school ended, it started raining!" Mina complained as she placed her head on her palm. Tsuyu approached her and said, "Let's take the bus instead, ribbit?"

"But I've no more money left..."

"I'll lend you some, ribbit."

"Thanks, Tsu!"

(Y/n) observed them and let out a sigh. She forgot to bring an umbrella or raincoat today. She saw Todoroki brought one and she asked,

"Your umbrella's big, right?"

You and Todoroki began walking back to both of your houses, under the same umbrella shielding you two from the pouring rain. You were blushing, your thoughts a mess. 'Oh crap! We look like a couple!'

Passing old women giggled at the sight of the two of you, going on about how they first met their first love. You blushed even more, but then you noticed that Todoroki's shoulder was wet from the rain.

"U-uhm, Todoroki, I'll move closer. Your shoulder's wet, you might get a cold..."

Todoroki nodded as you scooted closer. Your shoulders touched and you immediately tensed up. Todoroki noticed and looked at you, not with distant eyes, but with eyes of concern. He asked if you were okay and you nodded.

"I-I was just trying to get used to this feeling..."

"What feeling?"

"You know... a boy and a girl under the same umbrella feels awkward..."

"You mean like how couples do?"

"N-NO! I wasn't specifically referring to that!!"

"Then what do you mean?"

"Uh, yesitwasactuallywhatyousaid."

You noticed you nearing your house, so you changed your topic.

"U-uh, hey! There's my h-house! I-I'll be going now!!"

You ran out of the umbrella's warmth and now you were drenched from the rain. Todoroki called out to you but you slammed the front door of your house. You hyperventilated and touched your cheeks.

"What was that, (Y/n)? You looked like an idiot and now Todoroki will never notice you- wait, why am I talking about him?"

Todoroki's hand was still stretched out to where (Y/n) was running to. He retracted his hand and sighed.

"Geez, (Y/n). You could be oblivious sometimes. Heh, I guess that's what makes you."

He blushed when he remembered how your shoulders touched. He shook his head and started his journey back to his home. Halfway there, the weather cleared. He looked up to the sky and muttered something.

"I hope you'd notice that I like you, (Y/n)."
