Room 103

I

I shifted my eyes as sunlight hits my windows just right. It's amazing how it gives me just the right glow to wake up my senses.

I sat on my bed and check the time. 7:09 am it says. Well my first class is still 9 o'clock so I decided to take an early jog. I quietly walked out the room to see if Alex is already up. Based on the heaving breathing on the next room I figured that she was still sleeping. I tied my hair up and look in the mirror for final checks because you never know who you might meet. 

A quickly started a jog as I got out of the building, taking in the beautiful green surroundings and also some people going to work. There was also a bunch of kids nearby the kindergarten. They were really cute and that is why I am taking Child Psychology this year. I just wanna get to know kids. 

As I was getting finished with my jog and getting lost in my train of thoughts, I turned a corner to our building and saw the nearby cafe that I saw yesterday when we were driving to the apartment. 

Harrison's it says. I looked at my watch and it says 7:45. Well might just walk in and take a look.

I roamed my eyes around the cafe. It has really great ambiance and the whole place looks really cozy. I might make this my hang out place when I wanna get out of our room. I stood in line because it looks like this place was a little bit busy in the mornings. After quite a while it's finally my turn.

"Good morning ma'am. May I take your order? " The cashier smiled at me. She was actually really pretty if she just remove her bangs in her face. 

"Uh yeah. One frappuccino with extra chocolate toppings." then I suddenly remembered Alex. "Um make that two."

"Okay ma'am.  Name?"

I remembered how this coffee shops works with names so I go with the easiest one. 

"Sam." 

"Please wait for a little while."

I get my table to wait in while they're preparing my order. I checked my phone to see if I have any messages from my friends back home. I see one from Sabrina. 

I miss you! Go back here soon now. I feel so sad without you here. Btw, James has another bimbo and guess who? It's Stephanie. Can you believe him? You guys broke up for only 2 months yet he already has a replacement. Such a jerk. Anyways, be safe and good luck on your first day. xoxo Sab

I felt a tear on my cheek. I guess I really miss my best friend. Also that stupid jerk, James. He already replaced me with Steph. I knew that girl had the hots for him even when we were still together.

"Two frappuccino with extra chocolate toppings for Sam" 

I wiped my tear away and stood up to get my order but just then I bumped into somebody.

"I'm Sam" I looked at the person that bumped me in disbelief.

"Um, no. I am Sam. Now, let me take these." I said as I took the 2 frappes. 

"But miss, I am late for something  and you're..." He looks at me as I shifted uncomfortably. "looking like you are in no hurry so yeah I'll take it." 

I quickly move my frappes away from him. "These are mine." You don't mess with a girl and her frappes.

"Two frappuccino with extra chocolate syrup for Sam"

I looked at him with a smirk. "I'm guessing that's yours." I laughed as I walk out of the door, leaving him dumbfounded.

Man, he looks great but with that attitude? Just no.

I  climbed the stairs to our apartment and opened the door only to be welcomed by th smell of pancakes.

"You're up early." Alex waved at me while she pours maple syrup on the pancakes.

I took my seat on the stools. "You like strawberry syrup?" she asked.

"You still know me." I smiled and take a bite of hers while she pours strawberry syrup. 

"Hey, I got you frappe. I don't know if you'll like it. I just don't know why I do that. I just wan---"

"I like it." She cut me off while taking a sip from one. I just smiled while looking at her.

"I even put my life on risk for that." I tell her. 

"Oh really? Why?" She starts to looked worried and stops eating.

"Hey, it's no biggie. It's just that there's a jerk who wanted these frappes. I guess his name is also Sam. It's weird. I mean who would've thought I'd meet someone with the same name as I am on my first day?" 

Then I suddenly remembered his face. He has a strong jawline that was really noticeable, he also has a clean trimmed facial hair, kinda like a rugged style. I also like how his eyes looked like a little bit gray. I just realized that I must've been checking him out a while ago.

"Earth to Sam." I was startled by Alex's voice. "Do you like him?" 

"Um, I guess? He just looks cute." I admitted, a little shy.

"Well can you dream about him later? We're gonna be late for class."

"Oh yeah shoot I forgot." I started to get ready for school.
