It was the summer of 1987.  Nicole Rivers had just turned 11, and he was eager to spend his Summer break with his friends. Every school year he would count down the days until school was out, even on the first day of school. He hated school. Maybe it was because he didn't feel as smart as the rest of his grade, or maybe it was because no matter what, his teachers despised him. He always tried to get on their good side, but no matter what, his teachers always hated him. Every. Single. Year.
When Nicole was seven, his teacher was up at the board, teaching the class how to read numbers up to the thousands. That was one of many lessons Nicole didn't understand. He tried focusing on the lesson, when his teacher called him up to the front of the room to write 375 on the chalkboard. Nicole nervously dragged his feet over to the front of the room. He picked the chalk up.
"Come on now, we don't have all day." His teacher inferred.
His teacher, Mrs. Teker, was an older teacher, around 40 to 50, Nicole thought. She was shorter, had thin, brown hair, and always wore button up sweaters and slacks. Mrs. Teker wasn't Nicole's favorite teacher, in fact, she almost scared him.
Since Nicole still didn't understand the lesson, he knew he was about to embarrass himself. He lifted the chalk up to the blackboard and started moving the chalk across the board.

"NO NICOLE! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO GO OVER THIS STUPID LESSON! STOP ACTING RETARDED ALL THE TIME AND USE  YOUR BRAIN FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!"
That's the last time Nicole ever looked forward to going to school.

This is only chapter one! It's pretty boring but it gets better! I have a LOT of time in the car tomorrow so I'll make sure to add enough chapters so it gets interesting.
