Sherlock, a black eyed demon, had started living with John a few months ago and it wasn't hard to hide his real self from the human since John wasn't the most observant man at all. He was able to cover up some mistakes such as occasional speed and a lack of packets of salt in the house.

He received a message as he was lazing on the couch, a special ring for texts that come from his brother, who was also a demon.

When are you going to tell him? Your relationship is being more than just flat mates. -MH

He scowled at that though, knowing that what Mycroft said was true yet he couldn’t bring himself to tell John lest he becomes a freak again.

John just had a shower and walked out with a towel around his hips, he was due at work in half an hour and was rushing late. "Damn…" He rushed to his room and got change into his work clothes messily then came out. "Sherlock, have you seen my watch? I remember I place it on my table..." he frowned, looking left and right for it.

Sherlock narrowed his eyes at John whose hair was still a wet mess, and reached out onto the coffee table to pick up the watch. "Here you go John, you left it here last night before you went to bed."

"Oh,thank you." John gave a quick smile and put it on. "what- come on.." he groan at the watch which was stuck at 3:30. "no batteries? you have got to be kidding me. first the clock then the soap and now this?"

"The universe must hate you today," Sherlock says casually, still trying to figure out the way to break it to John. Shall he move things around or make the lights flicker or repair John's watch with a touch? "Let me see that."

John took out the watch and hand it to the other. "i got to go,i'm late." he gave sherlock a peck on the cheek. Taking his coat and bag, leaving his surgery coat behind. "See you Mrs hudson." He greeted the landlady and out the door he went.

"Goodbye," Sherlock greets back only he didn't move much, only to take the watch back and fix it quickly but John was already downstairs. Sighing, he sat up, eyes flicking to black just for fun and stared at the forgotten surgery coat. "He sure is one forgetful human."
