A Royal Catfish

Chapter one

I yawned for the second time today as the line moved

Getting the latest iPhone (iPhone 8) has its advantages.....mainly more space,good camera quality and good apps

The disadvantages on the other hand,I'm still waiting in this damn line to get it

"Next!"

I was brought  back to my senses when I heard the woman behind the counter's shrill voice

I hadn't even realized I had gotten to the front of the line

Yayyyy!!!!!!

"Erm can I change this...."I brought out my old Huawei  phone".....and get the iphone 8?"

The woman gestured for money so I took it out of my pocket and paid

Next thing she took a rectangular box,more like a cuboid from behind and handed it over

You could see she hated this job because of the frown on her face

I gladly took the box

I was actually touching an iPhone 8

I thought as I walked by the line everyone's  eyes were on the phone

They really wanted one.....well they should concentrate on moving in the line before they stop selling these

I walked out through the doors and took in the smell of L.A

For some reason I was happy.....
yes cause I got an iPhone
................
I walked to my house and confirmed it was me through the intercom

The gates opened and walked through

I was rich but wasn't that rich. Technically my father works in London and gets payed fairly and basically our house is like a mansion

We had about fifteen cars all in black and majority of them.....latest but I really didn't like riding in them but I was forced to be protected and blah blah

I didn't really like to show off that I came from a rich family unlike others who would blabber about their expensive shoes and clothes, and their walk-in closet which is bigger than a ten feet wide pool

That's why I saved my own money for this iphone and not let my dad waste money on it

I pushed open the wooden doors and said a quick hi to my mom who was watching a program on our 52' TV never lifting my eyes of the phone

"What is that?"she asked when she saw me looking at the phone

"My new phone " I said as I showed her my iPhone 8

"Oh,so your dad's back?"

"No, I got it myself"

What I said might have triggered something in her but I ignored her

'What!You shouldn't have bought it with your own money. Your dad is going to be angry when he hears this"

"But what if he doesn't "I said wiggling my eye brows

My mother Olive Tanner was a sweet woman and also kind. From her stories I learnt she was really gullible and could easily be tricked or join ones side when she sees the person in need of help or something

And I was in need of help......my dad mustn't know so I'm sure she'd surely help me keep it

"No" she said folding her arms as she turned her head

My head snapped at her disappointed

How could she?

We've  proved to her that she is gullible and now she has learnt her lesson well

To stop that act and let people handle their problems themself
............
