C H A P T E R  1  :  E N C O U N T E R

"(Name), are you up?! It's time to go to school!" Hearing the booming voice of your older brother startled you a bit while you fixed your uniform.

"I'm up! I'll be down soon!" Finished with fixing the delicate ribbon resting on your light blue collar, you take one more mirror check and smile.

Making your way down the stairs, you smell the wafting aroma of breakfast in the kitchen, pulling you closer to the dining room. Arriving right by the table, you see your brother finishing up while setting the plates down on each side of the table.

"Good morning mom! Dad!" You greet happily while kissing the photo of your parents that are in a lovely rose picture frame.

"Don't I receive a good morning too?" 

"Of course! Good morning onii-chan!" Laughing a bit, your brother settles down and sits down after you do.

"Morning (Name). Let's enjoy breakfast okay?" 

"Un! Itadakimasu!" Digging in to your delicious breakfast of (fav. food), a question makes your ears perk.

"So (Name), do you know what club you want to join? There are plenty of options out there."

"I already decided!" You chirped proudly.

"Oho, and what club would that be?" 

"Ikebana."

"Hm? Not archery? You said that you wanted to join the archery team last time. You're a great archer too." Surprised to hear those words, you stop eating and look up.

"Wow! I received a compliment, how rare! Well, I guess I just wanna stick to ikebana because it's what mom and dad taught us since we were little. Besides, I talked to the coach of the archery team and the principal and they said it's fine if I join both clubs." Tenderly looking at the photo with your parents, you smile.

"Wow, my little sister is so talented, hahaha. Finish up and get ready to leave okay? I have to be at school early today."

"Okay!"

"I'll pick you up later okay? Have fun today (Name)!" Your brother waves at you and shouts as you guys go your separate ways to school.

"Yup! See you later onii-chan! Have a good day too!" Waving back, you wait to see the disappearing figure of your brother and continue to walk to school.

At the front gate you can't help but realize the beautiful pink sakura flowers in bloom and how healthy the trees are. Admiring them by the gate, you open your hand out and three petals land on your tiny palm.

"Ah! Lucky! I guess today will be a good day." Smiling to yourself, you don't even notice the car pulling up in the driveway and the boy coming out of it due to how entranced you were with the beautiful flowers.

However, that didn't last long since a voice brings you back as well as a hand appearing next to yours and three petals also falling in the middle of the other palm.

"Looks like I'll be lucky too. The flowers are beautiful aren't they?"

Turning around, your face is inches away from a boy's face. His features were absolutely beautiful. Short, red hair shaped his face elegantly with crystal red eyes that matched along with it. Standing still for a second, you nod and gain your composure back.

"Ah, yes they are really pretty, I got side tracked by them, um..." You tilted your head to the side and wondered who he was.

"Akashi Seijuro. Sorry for startling you and suddenly talking to you."

"Oh, no it's fine! I'm ---" Suddenly a loud familiar voice travels close to your ear along side with your best friend running to you.

"(Name)! You have to come and see the archery stand with me NOW!" Not giving you a decision, your friend pulls you by the arm and drags you off.

"Ah, wait! Um, I'll see you later Akashi-kun! Hey (Best Friend Name)!"

"(Name)... What a suitable and beautiful name..."
