"You're quite talented aren't you [l/n]. You're form is absolutely beautiful."
That sentence and familiar voice travels to your ears and you become slightly tense. Turning around, your suspicions are confirmed when you see Akashi standing outside the Archery Field with someone with green hair and glasses next to him. Setting your bow down, you walk over to their area.
"I'm not that talented, I'm just practicing that's all. Thank you for the compliment though Akashi-kun. Is this your friend?" You reply looking at the green-haired figure with a small smile.
"Yes, this is Midorima Shintaro. Midorima, this is (L. Name) (Name)." Right after Akashi introduces you two, both of you bow and re-introduce yourselves formally.
"Midorima Shintaro, Akashi's teammate in basketball and first year, nice to meet you."
"(L. Name) (Name), member of the ikebana club and a first year as well, nice to meet you too Midorima-kun!" Smiling cheerfully, you raise a question at the two basketball players.
"So what are you two doing? I'm guessing you guys are done for the day?"
"Yes, we're just on our way to get something and talk to our coach. You?" The way he responds to you made your heart flutter a bit, but you shrug it off.
"Oh, I was done with ikebana early so I decided to practice shooting. After a few shots I'll be on my way though, my older brother must be waiting for me."
"I see. Well, we'll see you tomorrow then (L. Name), have fun and bye!" Waving you goodbye as well as Midorima, Akashi and the green-haired male walk away and go inside the building.
Watching them go inside brings you to ease as you stretch while walking back to Archery Field. Pumped up after seeing Akashi and possibly another new friend, you continue to shoot your arrows and smile after each one of them land either on the center of the target or near it.

Putting your bow away and changing back into your uniform, you grab your bag and flowers and wrap everything up, walking towards the entrance of the school. On the way however, you hear the sounds of a basketball when you pass by the gym. Curious if Akashi and Midorima were still inside, you decided to take a peek.
"Hello..." You say quietly while your feet slowly takes you inside further in the gym. Looking around, your eyes catch the sight of a hard working player.
'Ah, he's practicing late. He's very diligent, not many players practice even after they just had practice.' Disrupting your thoughts, a quiet and monotone voice catches your attention.
"Um, are you looking for someone? All of the other players have left since practice is over." Says the boy with light blue eyes and hair.
"Oh, no, I just heard the sound of a basketball so I just decided to peek inside since I was curious. Sorry if I'm disturbing you." Bowing and apologizing, the sound of footsteps grow closer to you.
"It's okay, I'm just practicing so that I have a chance to be in the second string. Though it's not going that well..." Seeing the dejected look on his face makes you sad as well and you decide to cheer him up.
"Well, that's what practice is for right? I think you're doing well, you just have to find your own style! From what I'm seeing right now you're a great player already considering how you stay late to practice. Um, wait a second... here!" Smiling happily and reaching in your bag, out comes a beautiful 'good-luck' charm.
"Is this for me?" He asks while pointing at himself.
"Of course! I'm (L. Name) (Name) by the way!"
"Kuroko Tetsuya, nice to meet you."
Happy to have met a new person, you stick your hand out and have a handshake while giving Kuroko the charm.
"Is it okay if we become friends? I usually stay late too that's why." You suggest.
"Sure, it's nice to have someone with me."
Happy that he accepted, your conversation is cut off with your phone ringing in your bag.
'Oh, Onii-chan. He's probably waiting.'
"Sorry, I have to go. See you tomorrow Kuroko-kun!"
"Yep, bye (L. Name)-chan."
Running off while waving and smiling, you go towards the entrance but don't see your brother.
"Hm? Where could he be?" Looking around, and then staring at the ringing phone, you decided to pick it up.
"Hello? Onii-chan where are-"
"Hello? Is this (L. Name) (Name)? Younger sister of (L. Name) Haruki?"
Surprised by the gentle, mature female voice that you hear at the other side of the line, you calm down and answer professionally.
"Yes this is. What happened to my older brother?"
"I'm sorry to say this but he's currently in the hospital being operated on. Will you be able to make it to Teiko General Hospital right now?"
'Hospital? Operated on? Teiko General Hospital?'
Those were the three things that were ringing in your ears for the past few seconds with you not being able to hear or respond to the lady on the other line. You not noticing the tears rolling down your cheeks.
