FIRST AND LAST LOVE

Part 11

"Dude I knew you were evil but I didn't think you would suspend him from the college." Arjun said entering my cabin. He was talking about Abhi.
I was busy admiring the gift my Naina gave me. It's her first ever gift to me.
"Are you even listening?" He said.
He is not going to spare me till I tell the truth.
"Okay fine I did it. And he brought it on himself." I replied irritated.
"Dude!! I thought you will just hit him but you actually got him out of this hopsital. His career will be ruined because of this." Arjun said.
"Like I said he brought it on himself." I replied wearing my coat.
"Okay fine. I'm curious how did you do it?" He asked.
"I tipped the authorities about his dirty past. Now he will never ever think about harrassing any woman in the future." I replied.
"She really is special. You never get involvled in others life..........Back than when he ruined your life you never took it out on him but now just a few tears from Naina's eyes made you do this." Arjun said.
"I admit she really is someone whom I want to protect dearly." I replied and left from there.

I was busy today so couldn't take Naina's class. I was called for the surgery. The patient insisted that he want me to do the surgery. I was on my way back after the surgery was done. It's almost lunch time, the time where I can get a glance of my Naina. I immediately rushed to my cabin to change into my clothes.

She was sitting on the chair waiting for me. I didn't acknowledge her and walked up to my cupboard.
"Get out!!" I said taking my clothes out.
She suddenly hugged me from back.
"I missed you Ashu." She said still hugging me. I knew some or the other day I have to encounter this woman. And I always thought I would lash out at her, curse her and humiliate her for breaking my heart like a toy. I wanted to crumble her life which she dearly loved. And that day finally did come. She was standing here right infront of me but I couldn't do much. I moved her hands away from my body and turned around to push her away when my cabin door creaked open. Naina was standing at the entrance she looked shocked. Her eyes were getting teary.
"If you don't mind can you leave us alone." Ridhima said.
Naina said a sorry in her weak voice and left from there. I wanted to go behind her but Ridhima stopped me.
"I know Ashu you are angry at me. Take out all your anger at me, it will calm you down. You know I realised how much I love you after losing you. I got divorced from that man to come to you. I know I made a grave mistake, I'm fine with any punishment you give me." She said grabbing my hand.
Like seriously this woman. Does she think I'm an idiot. I jerked my hand away from her grip.
"You lost that chance of punishment. Do you think I'm an idiot to again fall for your words. And it was you who broke our relationship. And I'm still the same, I still have the same boring salary which can't afford your luxurious life. So stop doing this 'I'm sorry act' and get the hell out of my cabin before I treat you horribly." I said.
"I'm not going to give up on you. I have come here to make you mine." She said and left from there.
I hit the wall angrily.

I was searching for Naina. I called her number of times but she was not responding. She was not even at the lunch table and in Arjun's class.
I hope I get to see her in the evening. While driving I got a text from her that she was not feeling well. I immediately called her but no reply. I sighed.
"This time you are at fault. I think you crossed your line." Arjun said.
"What?" I asked confused concentrating on my driving.
"Dude I told you if you can't make her smile than don't make her cry at least. I tolerated every thing because you were my best friend but when it comes to Naina I'm going to be a strict elder brother." Arjun said angrily.
He never gets angry at me But this time he looked serious.
"I know you are stressed to see Ridhima but Ashwath get over it. It happened 2 years back and now you have Naina in your life. Don't take your stress out on that poor soul. Do you know she almost had a panic attack because of all that crying." Arjun said.
I stopped the car with a jerk.
"She had a panic attack?" I asked.
"Yes. Because of you. You shouldn't have shouted at her angrily. I always tell you to not hurt her." He said.
"But I didn't hurt her." I said.
"Ashwath you may not get it but sometimes your cruel words hurt others." Arjun said looking at me.
"But really I didn't shout or hurt her.  Actually I couldn't meet her the whole day." I informed him.
"Wait if you didn't shout at her than why was she crying coming out of your cabin?" Arjun asked confused.
"When was she crying?" I asked curious because I think I know why was she crying.
"At around lunch time." He replied.
"Shit!! She must have misunderstood the whole scenario." I realised she must have thought I was hugging Ridhima.
"What happened?" Arjun asked.
I explained him everything.
"Ashwath from the way I see it, yours is not a one sided love. I think Naina too feels the same for you. She just have to realise it. The way she was crying over this, looked like she was having a heartbreak." Arjun said smiling at me.
"I'm happy that she feels for me but I don't want her to experience the feeling of a heart break dude. It's the most painful feeling in the world." I replied.
"Now think about how you are going to correct her misunderstanding. " Arjun said distracting me.
"Get out!!" I said.
Arjun looked shocked.
"Take a cab from here. I'm going to her." I replied.
He got off smiling and I turned my car towards the other direction. I know where she must be at this time.
