Trust Falls

Story: Most of them (lol)
Nova's POV
"So, Nimbus and I have decided that there is a lack of trust between everyone," I say to the group of the characters standing in front of us.
"Can you really blame us when we have Kasumi threatening to karate chop us every five minutes?" Kyo sighs.
"What was that?!" Kasumi snaps, grabbing Kyo by the hoodie.
"Nothing! Really, I swear!" Kyo panics.
"Kasumi, put her down, okay?!" Shiro says, grabbing Kasumi and pulling her away from the terrified nerd.

"You see what we mean," Nimbus sneers. They all silently nod in agreement, a little bit ashamed.
"So, today we have decided to do trust exercises with you guys starting with the basics. Trust falls!" I smile. They all seem done with us already except Koichi who is laughing whilst looking at a terrified Kimi. You know, something is telling me that this is going to go horribly wrong. Nimbus tells them to separate into groups decided by their stories or universes. By universes I mean characters whose stories intertwine. For example, characters from both Locked Up Boy and I'm Not a Tsundere are grouped together.
Personally, I believe that the group with the most trust between the characters must be the DDLC group. Considering they are all in the same club and appear to be good friends, we shouldn't have to spend too long monitoring them.

We walk over to the girls (and boy) to see that they're all happily chatting and joking. See, this'll be fine.
"Okay, let's see, how about we start with Yuri and Natsuki. After all there's the least amount of trust between you two," Nimbus suggests.
"Ugh... fine. Only if she doesn't drop me," Natsuki moans.
"I-I would n-never do something like- like th-that!" Yuri stutters.
"Well, prove it then!" Natsuki turns her back so her back is facing Yuri. After what feels like ages, she leans back slightly and she falls towards Yuri. Panicky, Yuri holds out her arms and just about catches Natsuki. As soon as Natsuki lands in her arms, she shoots up and steps away from her.

"See, I trust Yuri! No need to do anything else!" She yells.
"But does Yuri trust you?" Fuguai asks, smirking.
"I-I do!" Yuri replies.
"Then prove it," I order sternly.
"There's no way Natsuki would be able to catch her, no offence Nova," Y/N chuckles awkwardly.
"That's true... what to do then," I murmur.
"Let's just go onto the next pair. Monika and Sayori," Nimbus reads from the notes we wrote earlier today.

"What?! But I trust everyone!" Sayori argues.
"Then you'll be fine with this," Monika grins, getting ready to fall. "So come on Sayori... don't leave me hanging." As Monika falls, Sayori takes several steps back so Monika just falls back onto the floor. I force myself to hold back my laughter as Nimbus and I are supposed to be taking this seriously.
"What was that for!?" Monika yells.
"The joke was a little insensitive Monika... I can understand why you two don't trust each other so much," Y/N says.

"I guess it was. Sorry Sayori. But don't worry, I'll catch you," She replies, holding her arms out. Reluctantly, Sayori falls back and surprisingly, Monika catches her with ease.
"See, that's not so difficult is it?" Nimbus asks.
"I guess not. So next is Fuguai and Y/N I'm guessing," Monika says. I nod and look over to the two of them who seem a little confused. I know one completely trusts the other but I'm not so certain that it goes for the other one.

"But wait, you trust me, don't you Fuguai?" Y/N asks. She nods and asks him the same question.
"There's absolutely no reason for those two to do it. They're a little too trusting of each other sometimes, in my opinion," Natsuki sighs.
"Just do it," I demand. This group is a lot more tiresome than I originally thought. Without anymore complaining, Y/N falls into Fuguai's arms with ease. However, when it gets to Fuguai, she almost seems scared to fall.

"What's wrong Fuguai?" I ask.
"N-nothing... well... what if the player has an option to make me fall?!" She replies.
"Trust me, Y/N will catch you," Nimbus assures her.
"Alright, okay, this is fine... I'm completely and utterly calm," she mutters. When she falls back Y/N catches her just like we suspected and we move onto the next set of characters.
