Sonamy: The Perfect Boyfriend (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter 1- The Mirror

A pink hedgehog stood at the front of the door. "Hello?" She knocked on the door. "Is there anybody out there!?"

A two-tailed fox was sitting down at a desk and he was fixing something by using a screwdriver to close in the screws. The sound of the knocking alarmed him and he went to go answer the door.

"Hello?" Amy grunted in annoyance. "I swear if no one's here, I'm going to get my hammer--"

The door opened, "Oh hi, Amy."

Amy hid her hammer behind her back and she giggled, "Hello, Tails."

"Come in," Tails gestured with his hand and the open door to let her come inside the house.

"Do you know when Sonic is coming back?"

"Yeah. He should be coming back later."

"Oh I guess I'll have to wait for him." Amy pouted. As always, she really wanted to see Sonic.

"Well Amy, in the meantime, instead of you, waiting for Sonic. Why don't you come and see the new invention, I've been working on?" Tails suggested to her.

"Hmm..." Amy looked up at the clock on the wall of the living room. She looked back at Tails. "Sure, I bet it's splendid."

"Here we are." The two were inside the basement in Tails' room.

"Wow, you have so much inventions in here. Which one is your new one?"

Tails walked up to the center of the room, "It's this one." He pointed to some sort of large object that was covered with a sheet. He took off the sheet and threw it to the side, revealing a large mirror.

Amy walked up to the mirror and stared at her reflection. "It's beautiful. But why would you have a ordinary mirror?"

"It's not just any ordinary mirror. This mirror is a gateway that is connected to your mind and your thoughts--basically all your fantasies that you want to have--to live in--. It's also within the dreams you have, that you wish could happen to you in real life."

Amy's eyes sparkled and she blushed, "You mean, I could be with Sonic!?" She began to daydream about being with Sonic and holding hands with him.

Tails sweat dropped, "Um... Yes, of course. It is connected to your dreams and your thoughts, after all."

"How does this thing work?" Asked Amy.

"I've only tested this out twice, so I managed to fix the kinks." Tails said, he turned on a small TV he brought in. "This is where we can view what's happening as you are inside the dream world, through that mirror."

He continued talking. "Inside that dream-world, it will feel very real, like you are in a lucid dream. Like a lucid dream, you have to know that you're in a dream so that you could control anything you want to happen in there. Only you and your thoughts are in control of what happens."

"That sounds so fascinating." Amy said. "Can you give me an example on how it works, with your thoughts?"

"Sure." Said Tails. "It's like this; say I'm in the dream-world, right?"

"Right." Amy nodded her head, following along to his example.

"I want to make a reality in that world that I'm a famous scientist. If I want that happen, all I have to do is to think to myself, 'I want to be a famous scientist' or I could say it out loud. The only thing you have to do it you want that to actually happen in your dream--is to believe it will happen," Tails gave out a nervous smile. "I know it sounds cheesy but that's just how it works."

"The power of it is in your beliefs, too?" Amy glanced back at the mirror. "Not bad, Tails."

"So you understand it now, right?"

"Yes, I do."

"Good."

"I just have one question."

"Yes?"

"If you're in the dream world, how do you leave?

"Oh, right," Tails chuckled. "I forgot to mention that." He said through his closed eyes as he was scratching the back of his head. "When you are in your dream, you will automatically have a watch that is your timer. It will start out green, showing that you still have time in there. But it will end up beeping and turn red, once it is time for you to leave."

He pointed to his watch, "You see the time in the real world and dream world are both different. Spending a day in the dream world, will be 2 hours in the actual world. But spending a little bit of minutes in there will be bits of seconds on the other side in real life."

"Oh, I see what you mean by that."

"Anyways, would you like to test it out?"

"Sure, I would like to--" Amy was cut off as she heard a deep male voice. "Hey, Tails! I'm home!"

Amy's eyes widened as she heard that voice. She went upstairs and saw Sonic looking around. She sneaked up behind him and tackled him with a hug, "SONIC!"

"Ahhh!" Sonic fell down on the floor, being stuck in Amy's warm embrace. "Amy. Don't sneak up on me, like that. You scared the living daylights out of me."

"Sorry but I'm excited to see you."
