(Jadea POV)

I still remembered the day we met, sophomore year

And my best friend Kendall had recently collected herself a hot new boyfriend she told over the phone the day before. I walked the hallways with power it felt good to not be a freshman anymore. I walked past the Gym on my way to first period and spotted Kendall, I ran up and gave her a little tug on the arm to notify I was there.

Kendall: "Hey! where have you been I have been looking everywhere for you!"

Jade: "hey sorry I was just on my way too first period."

Kendall: "ok idc I have someone for you too meet" she said jumping frantically.

Kendall turned and revealed the stranger behind her.

Harry: "Hi I'm Harry what's your name?"

Jade: "Hi I 'm Jadea but you can call me Jade!"

Jade:" nice to meet you but I have for to get too class ok see you around bye

I began walking to class when I heard footsteps follow me I turned to face Harry, he looked and smiled at me showing all his teeth.

Harry: "can I ask you something?"

Jade: "yeah sure, what is it?"

Harry: "Well you know Kendall's b-day is coming up and I don't know what to get her, do you have any ideas?"

Jade: "ummm... Kendall does like roses and she loves you too much too really care what, I think she would be happy with a macaroni necklace!"

I managed to get him laughing!

Jade: "seriously though she would love roses!"

Harry: "alright I think that would be sweet enough, ok I will let you get to class now. Bye!"

Jade: "Bye!"

I looked up at the clock in the hallway and noticed I had 30 seconds to get too class, I sprinted down the hall and made my way too science. I ran Into class and took my seat about 2 seconds before the bell rang!

Carter: "nice save jade!"

Jade: "thanks cart!"

Carter was my best guy friend! He was that one kid who had geek/nerd friends and also popular ones! Carter was in most of my classes so we usually did partner projects together!

Science class was more boring than ever today and all I could think about was the bell that dismissed us to our next class. Carter and I just eyed each other through the whole class making faces and sticking our tongues out until Anders who was the science teacher caught me and sent me down to detention. As I left the class in embarrassment I ran into my brother who was in a rush! I watched kind of hobble past be and into the boys bathroom. I ran to the bathroom and pushed open the door and caught my brother putting eyedrops in his eyes.

Jade: "Cameron what are you doing?!?!"

I ran in, grabbed him by the collar and swung him into a stall door that didn't swing open so I assumed it was occupied.

Cameron: "jade what are you doing!?!?!"

I peeled open his shut eyes! His eyes were bloodshot and he was totally stoned!

Jade: "wtf!!! Cameron you promised mom you would quit drugs and drinking! What is wrong with you I know Kc just broke up with you but you shouldn't be binging on drugs and alcohol!!!"

Cameron: "what ever"

He pushed me off of him and stormed out of the bathroom!

I sat there and sighed, what was I going to do with him. I walked out of the boys bathroom and ran right into Harry.

Jade: oh... Hi it's not what you think.

He looked at me then the boys bathroom door and then at me again.

I felt so embarrassed. My cheeks became tomato red!

Harry: "you ok?"

Jade: "not really!"

Harry: "you want to talk about it"

Jade: "yeah sure it couldn't hurt."

Harry: "follow me I have the perfect spot."

I followed and started to think what I was going to say, should I tell him everything or just what happened back there? So many worries bouncing in my head? Was he going to tease me about it?

We reached our destination which was the courtyard. The courtyard had a fountain in the middle and a path that circled the fountain and a few wooden benches sat on the patio. We sat down on a bench closest to the fountain.

Harry: "ok, so what is wrong an why were you in the men's bathroom?!?"

Jade: "ok just listen it's kinda complicated and idk If you will understand! My brother started dating the girl named Kc, they were madly in love except Kc did drugs and my brother Cameron started to do drugs to impress her. Cameron became addicted and one night when he was high he cheated on Kc and she broke up with him! It broke his heart. So he continued to do drugs because they reminded him of her when she was with him and how proud she was. The reason I was in the men's bathroom was because I followed my brother in there and he was putting eyedrops in his eye so I ran up to him and checked his eyes and he had been drinking and was totally stoned!"

Harry: "wow I am soo sorry."

Jade:" it's ok, nothing has never been easy for my family."
