Book Intro:
Last year, when Lauren had no interest in romance, she never cared what people thought. Now it appeared, love was turning her into a rotten person.
The new sophomore Lauren wishes she could talk to her close friends, Dinah, Ally, Nomani, and Shawn about this. But Lauren is afraid that nobody will understand her. Lauren and her friends were always the kind of best friends who lived within two blocks for their entire lives, and who agreed on what kind of boys we're worth kissing, and who should be invited to a sleepover. They were the kind of best friends, who didn't need words to talk, but who always just knew.
The new girl, Camila could tell that something was wrong with Lauren. Lauren finds trust in her new friend Camila and opens up to her about her secret summer romance. After a lot of fighting Camila joins her on new journey to confront Lucy.
But lately Camila has started to think that her relationship with Lauren could be growing too much, and too fast. They both know that being best friends is the highest step in a friendship. But they both know it isn't enough. Somehow this isn't right, but Lauren and Camila both wish it could be..
Book Summary:
It's the beginning of sophomore year and Lauren starts the year off with a problem. Lauren has spent the summer with a girl she has fallen in love with. Someone posted pictures of Lauren kissing another girl. Being forced to come out Lauren struggles to ask her friends for help because she has fallen in love with the enemy. Lauren has fallen in love with Lucy. It turns out that Lucy used Lauren. Betrayed, and hurt Lauren has to face Lucy and her group at school. Lucy is still teasing Lauren and trying to win her back. Luckily Lauren has her friends Ally, Normani, Dinah, Camila, and Shawn by her side. While Camila comforts her new friend, Lauren, their relationship grows stronger in a way neither of them had expected. Lauren sees an issue with this relationship. But she has to decide if this love is worth fighting for.
