A week and three days with no communication and one cup of water and a loaf of bread. To top it off his wrist remained cuffed to the bars. To his surprise someone entered the hall of cells. A random officer. Not Judy to his sadness. A hairpin dropped from her and she left. Nick struggled, his wrist held him back. He always cringed when this happened in movies. Nick closed his eyes.
"Owww! Fuck! Fu-Ffff" Nick pulled his mangled broken wrist from the cuffs. And grabbed the hair pin. He waited all day until nightfall. He then got to work at the lock. He grabbed his wallet, emptied. And his revolver. Two shots still in the chamber. He left the hall and climbed through a window. The pouring rain lashed at the fox. Judy. He needed her now more than ever. He headed to her apartment. He walked for two hours, grasping his wrist. Nick walked in the building, his fur was drenched and sagging. he knocked on her door.
"Hey Carrots..." He said. She smiled, but then stopped.
"Your soaking! And on my god you dislocated your-"
"I know... but I'm free!" He said.
