Hello Readers. I am new to writing so please don't judge if it turns out to be a horrible story.  Anyway, enjoy!

Ember Fye (pronounced fie as in fire) was an attractive girl with fiery-gold hair, lovely forest green eyes and tanned skin. She seldom had friends and prefers to be a lone wolf. Equipped with her hunting gear, she stepped outside and strolled down the forest path when she suddenly heard a loud screech.
"What the-!" exclaimed Ember.
She spun around looking for the source of the sound but only got a face full of twigs and leaves. Readying her bow she continued on when, all of a sudden, she saw a fire-like colour flash in front of her. Surprised, Ember screamed and stumbled backwards tripping over a log.
She grunted and groaned as she got up to retrieve the weapons she brought which was knocked away from her and continued cautiously down the path. Something was not right, so she stopped, closed her eyes and tuned into the surroundings. Discarding the sound of birds chirping, the soothing rustle of leaves and the smell of fresh earth, she searched for anything that shouldn't be there. Another hunter somewhere to her far left. A squirrel in the tree above. A smoky smell to her right.
"Strange..."
Turning to the right she walked towards the irregular. Closer and closer...Reaching her target she lifted her hand to move the bushes only to be flung back by a sudden burst of heat as a wave of darkness overtook her senses.
"What happened?" Ember groaned.
"You hit your head and have been unconscious for a while." stated a voice in her head.
Sitting upright Ember pulled free two of her knives and got into a defensive position as she looked around, searching for the owner of the voice.
"Who's there?" Ember called out.
A rustle sounded behind her. Spinning around she looked towards the source of the sound...a bush.
"Whoever you are, you better come out or else." Threatened Ember lamely.
"Oh don't worry. I'll come out." Crooned the voice.
Ember's jaw dropped as she beheld the sight in front of her. A phoenix! Letting out a yelp Ember swiftly backed away whilst blindly shooting arrows and throwing knives. Then she fell over a rock. Panting, she slowly looked at the mythical bird. It was still standing at the exact same spot with Ember's knives and multiple arrows littering the ground around it.
"Child," it said, "you know it is very rude to scream at a visitor then attempt to attack them with knives and arrows."
Slowly Ember began to realise that the Phoenix had made no aggressive movements against her. Embarrassed, Ember mumbled a 'Sorry' and slowly made her way over to the Phoenix. It had intelligent sapphire eyes and feathers that glowed and shimmered like flames. As she reached the Phoenix she picked up her knives and arrows and stood in front of it.
"What's your name child?" It asked.
"Ember, Ember Fye." She answered gaining some confidence back.
"Interesting..." It muttered, "My name is Eos (pronounced e-os) Exforeo and I have been searching for you for a while Ember."
"Why me?"
"Because you are my Chosen."
"Chosen?"
"It means that we have an unbreakable bond that comes with some bonuses. Also, I'm your Pyrnix (pronounced Pyr as in pyro and Nix as in Phoenix)"
"Does that mean-?"
"Halt!" Ordered two severe male voices from behind Ember.
"Oh no."
As Ember slowly turned around to face the newcomers she heard Eos's voice in her head;
"When I say 'go' I want you to run as fast and far as you can."
"Alright, I'll trust you on this." She whisper-thought back.
"By order of the King and Iron Claw, you will hand the beast over to us and-"
"Go!"
Bursting into a sprint Ember headed for the one place she could stand her ground against the Iron Wolves, the Ashstone Cliffs. The Ashstone Cliffs are a series of seven cliffs connected by a tiny stretch of land overlooking the ocean.
Reaching the Cliffs Ember twisted around, grabbing her bow. Sighing she waited for her pursuers. All of a sudden, a mighty screech rattled the trees and Eos burst into the clearing with multiple Wolves on his tail. Aiming for the Lead Wolf she fired.
"Jump, I'll catch you!" Screeched Eos.
Too filled with adrenaline to argue, she closed her eyes and leaned back. As she heard the wind rushing past her and grappling at her clothing she felt a strange tingling in her skin. Then the wind suddenly changed, it went from behind her to blowing in her face. Opening her eyes she let out a squawk as she saw the impossible. She was flying! Looking down she slowly began to realise something.
"No way..." She thought.
She had become Eos!
