I finally summarized all the advices I've received, even though I didn't want them, from my family and my friends on how to become happy. Now I need to translate them into reality, and at last I will be happy. Now, where do I start? Maybe I can already see how I succeed at each one, that will make the rest a lot easier. So, a husband. I'll sign up to a few dating sites, that should work right? And the second one will follow the first one, obviously. Then, to become skinny I sign up for a fitness class, and how about a diet, let's see which diets are rated most successful. So, veganism, but I love my meat, so that's a no for me... Now what else? Low-carb, so I basically eat almost no carbs to force my body to use my fat as a power source? That could work... All the other diets suggest either no more meat, or could cause health problems after a while, so low-carb will do. Number four on my list is...

*Ding-dong*

Oh, right, my sister was going to stop by. I hurry to open the door, "Hello auntie Cassie", is the first thing I hear. It is my nephew, Samuel. "Hello Sammie, did your mom join you or did you come here all alone?" Samuel is 4 years old, so I know the answer to that question, but it makes him laugh every time. "Hi sis, did you forget we were coming? Again?" My sister, Eadlyn, scans my outfit, and then looks over my shoulder as a subtle suggestion that she want to come in. "I did not forget you were coming! I was doing, euhm, some stuff." I do realise I am still wearing my pyjamas, but no way I am going to tell my sister that I had only woken up about an hour ago. She would never let it go. "Sure sis, why is your computer showing various diet plans? Are you planning on dieting to lose some of that baby fat?" "I, euhm, no, that, euhm, it's research, for a friend, yes, a friend." "Auntie can I have something to drink?" I look down and see Sammie staring at me. "Of course, do you want something, Eadlyn?" "Just some water, please." "Ok, come Sammie, I bought you a special cup that no one else can use." I wink at my sister, Samuel runs towards the kitchen.

"What did you want to discuss with me?" I ask Eadlyn when we return. "Well, you know I have been living at mom and dad's since they passed. But now the house has gotten to big since Mike left, and I want to look for a smaller apartment. Also it is difficult to keep paying for it with only one pay, and I don't want to fire some off the staff." I nod, things did have been hard on my sister since Mike left her with a four-year-old to raise. "That's a great idea, but what do you need me for?" I ask, having a feeling in my stomach to where she is going. "Well," she pauses and looks at her hands, "I know you said you didn't want to live at the mansion, but I was thinking what if we switched places? So, you go live at mom and dad's and I move in here, with Samuel? I mean, you can afford to live there without firing anyone and ..." "No, I won't!" I interrupt her. "You know I wasn't welcome there when they lived, and now they're gone you want me to move into their house? I told you once that I wasn't going back there. Why did you even think I would agree with that? I love living here, it's small, yes, but..." I suddenly remembered my list. Living in a big house was supposed to make me happy, according to, well, everyone I know. And I could afford it, like Eadlyn said. And even though I hadn't been very wanted there, I know the house means a lot for my sister. And since I care for her, I have got to give it a try. "Fine, I'll do it. But, there will be some conditions."
