Chapter 3 - That goofy smile

I woke up extra early today. don't know why but it's a good thing. Everyone else's still asleep so I decide to cook breakfast. i look through the cabinets and fridge collecting ingredients. let's see.. bread, butter, pasta, cream, bacon and parmesan cheese. I guess I'll be making white sauce pasta with bacon and toast. I spent about 20 minutes cooking and then got ready for school. 7am and everyone was awake. they've started eating since I've prepared the food on the table in advanced just incase. I join them and soon leave on my car to school.

I park my car on my usual parking spot which is right beside Alice's. She probably just came as well since i can see her walking to the entrance. I get out of my car and sprint towards Alice trying to catch up.

"Al wait up" I shout from behind and she instantly stops.

"Hey Stace" She waves happily with once again that goofy smile of her's plastered to her face

As soon as I got to her, we walked together to our first class. English.

"I know that look Al, what happened last night" I asked as we walked through the crowded hallway

"Let's say, Trevor and I sort kissed and he's sort of my..boyfriend." She replies, her cheeks blushing pink

"First date and you guy's are official? you guys sure move fast huh?" I giggle. Trevor porbably didn't want to miss the chance of being with her with all those guys lined up to ask her out, but he shouldn't really worry since Alice's eyes are only set on him.

"Its not that fast" Alice replies sticking out her tongue.

"Whatever you say Al"

We walked into our English class that lasted for about thirty minutes, then math, chemistry then break.

we entered the cafeteria to get our food and sat on the usual place, meeting up with Noah, our other best and childhood friend and a group of other friends.

"Hey Stace!" Noah greets

I bend over to give him a hug, "So, whats new?"

"nothing. it's all the same things." Noah runs his fingers through his brunette hair , taking off his beanie.

"still chasing Stella?"

"Unfortunately, yeah"

"She'll answer you soon" I pat his back

"Hopefully" He says quietly,making it barely audible

I took a piece of my french fries, and start eating the rest of my food.

"Mason! over here!" Alice waves her hands trying to catch Mason's attention.

"What? Mason? He studies here?" I ask confused

"Yeah. Didn't he tell you?"

"Nope".

I see Mason approaching Alice with a smile "Hey Aly"

Alice stands up to hug him then after, he walks towards me with open arms. I only give hugs when i know the person well, but anyway, can't make him look like a fool waiting.

he sat down beside Alice who i sat next to as well and talked to each other. Noah nudges my shoulder asking a question.

"Who's he?"

"Oh! Mason, Noah. Noah, Mason." I introduced them to each other

"Hey man" Says Mason to Noah and Noah waves in return

"How'd you know him?"

"He's Trevor's and Alice's friend, i met him in another speed date Alice set me up for"
