Between Us

Chapter 3

Adam's P.O.V

Oh my god. I'm in his hands and all I can do is just look at his face. He looks at me with a soft expression before he presses his soft lips against mine. I think about what Obrey had said. I'm distracted so I just remember the part where she mentioned that he was a "soft bunny". I honestly don't remember but to be honest, I feel like the vulnerable bunny right now.

He pulls back quick," I'm so sorry.", he says and walks away. I can NOT believe he just left after kissing me. Like who does that? I feel someone tug at my backpack so I turn around to see Cami and Obrey.

" What the hell Adam?", Obrey says, holding onto my arm and laughing looking as if she's about to pass out.

" Oh god, did you see that?"

" Yes brother, I did."

" I can not believe that just happened.", I say under my breath. " Dude, why didn't you say you guys were talking? I thought you would trust us.", Cami says sadly. " No trust me I would've told you but I... I just met Noah today.", I say a bit ashamed of myself. " You do realize you just kissed a total stranger, right?", Cami says shaking her head. " WHO CARES CAMI. THAT GUY IS HOT!", Obrey blurts out. " Can you not?", I say looking at her with a threatening stare. She returns it of course.

Augh, I really need her to shut up before anyone hears. I look around and notice that the hall still hasn't become total human traffic. Which is a relief because I do not need anyone knowing about what happened between Noah and I. I turn around and see Eve coming in our direction. From a different hall I see Jack and Will heading our way as well.

Will's P.O.V

Jack and I head towards Obrey's class to ask why we had to meet all of a sudden. As we're walking down the halls we see Adam kissing some guy. We stop walking and look at the stranger head off leaving Adam alone. I don't know why but seeing Adam kiss another guy pissed me off. Maybe it was because we're close? Because he's my best friend and I did not want guys hurting him? I have had thoughts about us being more than friends though. Sometimes I even think that I would be a better match for him.

" Well then.", I hear Jack say beside me. " I think that's the reason why we have to talk.", I tell him. " It can't be. She sent the text during class.", he replies. We keep walking and eventually reach Adam with Cami and Obrey.

" Hey baby.", Jack heads for his girl to give her a hug and quick kiss. " Hey Adam.", Jack says with a smirk. Adam looks down, blushing. I am so mad at him that I want to just ask, " Why the hell are you red?", but I don't.

" What's wrong Obrey? Why do we have to meet up?", I ask instead. " Wellllll... I just wanted to talk with you guys, get some food, but someone here has to introduce a new friend to us.", she says, looking at Adam with big eyes. " No. I just want to be alone after school I'm sorry guys. I need to... think things over.", was all he said. " Well that's okay Adam. No one's making you.", Eve tells him with a warm smile.

We all head to class and just go on with the remainder of the day, waiting for school to end so we could head over to Obrey's place.

Liam's P.O.V

I walk down the halls, relieved that school has ended. Throughout the day I have been thinking about Adam. I thought about what Eve told me. Of all guys, it had to be Noah. His mom met my mom when we were in 7th grade. We were good friends back then but that changed when we entered high school. He went off to some place else, some place where " the sports were better". I guess he's back now.

I see Adam walking alone. I head over to him and say," hey.". "Hey.", he says looking at me with a smile.

" I've been wanting to talk to you Adam."

" I know."

" Can we go to the park then?"

He stops on his tracks and just looks at me.

" Why?"

" I just want to talk. Please?"

He takes time to answer before he says," Fine.", and walks away already heading out the school doors. I smile and head out too. I won't let my chance slide. I WILL take him back. He is mine.
