A Normal Day Changes Drastically

I open my eyes as the bright white lights turn on. I wish I could wake up to natural sunlight. I thought to myself as I take off the headphones. The music must've stopped hours ago. I did have night mare but I soon fell back asleep. Surprisingly. I know that woman is coming in about twenty minutes to collect the items I currently have and give me my breakfast. I will request to see my uncle. I'm pretty sure one of my uncles sent me here so they should know who he is.

I look around my boring cell. Nothing to do besides stare at a wall. I am beginning to get annoyed at everyone here. Can't do this, can't talk to so and so. This really gets on my nerves. I want to leave this place to the point that I will kill someone over it. Morbid but, most people housed here would do the same.

"Robyn, I'm here to collect the items you have in your possession." the woman puts down a tray with food so she can get the things from the transporting machine. Today I want to be difficult.

"I don't want to be rude but, I want to keep these items please," I say hugging my blanket close to my chest. Why do I want to keep these with me so badly?

"I'm afraid I can't let you have those things all day. Now put the items in the machine, please. I don't want to call the boss."

Bingo. I need to see the boss. He will be able to contact my uncles. I must know who they are. I decide to deduce the woman for an insult.

"Well call the boss, I want to tell him about your affair with one of the security guards."

"That's it," She picks up a small walkie-talkie. she speaks into the mic, "I have a disobedient cell resident. Cell 304. do you copy? over."

"Yes, we copy. Who are you requesting for support? over."

"I request the boss, please. Over."

"He's just been contacted. He should be here in thirty. Over"

I look at her with a grin plastered on my face. Let's be horrible until 'the boss' gets here.

"Why are you having an affair miss? Are your husband and kids not good enough for you? Or is it just for fun?"

"My personal life is not your business to know about."

"Oh please tell me I'm terribly bored."

She just glares at me and crosses her arms. I already continue to deduce her ass. Her life is very messed up. Abusive father. Son does drugs. Extremely stressed and fucks the security guard to 'forget' about all the horrible things.

"I pity you," I say as I walk closer to the glass.

"And why is that?"

"Cuz your life right now is pretty shitty. Fucking a guard. Daddy issues and not to mention your "well behaved" son you talk so much about is shooting himself full of drugs. And you give him the money for it."

"Again refrain from your antics. My personal life is not your business. Your life hasn't been too peachy either."

"Obviously. I'm stuck in this cell. But you can't escape from your problems and I can't escape from this cell. Or can I?" I smirk and look up at the security camera. I want to make sure that one very special security guard hears this.

"And let's not forget how often you guys a committing sexual intercourse while you should be monitoring me! If I wanted to I could escape here while you guys are passing herpes to each other. Oh, how the hell did you know that? you may ask. Well, I am given books to read including one about different diseases. Signs are being shown by your increase in irritation in your disgusting fat ugly pus-"

"That's quite enough Miss Robyn." I look towards the elevator that leads to my cell. It's the tall man I saw before I got to this shit hole. He must be intimidating because the woman I was just deducing ran out of the room. I should pat myself on the back for making her cry.

"Why I curing myself of boredom."

"Yes well, at least I have been contacted. I have been wanting to talk to you for a long time."

"oh really? and why is that?"

"You must have figured out you have a family. Uncles."

I take a good look at his face. I giggle to myself as his nose remind me of a vulture beak. Then a memory hits me and I decide to go into my mind palace.

"And why do I have to take care of this thing?" The tall man says.

"Because Myc, Robyn's parents treat her horribly and I need to go out to talk to them. It's just for twenty minutes. Plus Sherlock is here with you." A lady I can't see. I giggle and raise my hands at the man standing behind the tall man. He must be my other uncle.

"yes Mycroft, I will be here. Unlike you, I actually enjoy this child's company." The other man says before taking me out of Mycroft's arms. I smile bigger and grab hold of 'Sherlock's' shirt. I feel a feeling of safety.

I come out of my mind palace and look at the man standing in front of my cell.

"You're Mycroft and my other uncle is Sherlock. Why am I restricted from knowing these things?" I cock my head to one side. I've been told I look like a confused puppy when I do this.

"Ah, your deducing abilities are getting stronger. Try to figure it out on your own."

I think hard. There are many different reasons. To protect me, to have control over me. Oh!

"The more I know the more dangerous I could be. Am I correct?" Mycroft nods to confirm my deduction.

"But, the committee and I have decided you should know more. As I understand you don"t even know your last name let alone why you're here."

Excitement and anxiety courses through my body. I look at him in disbelief. Why now? After years and years locked up in this horrible cell.

"I thought I was too 'dangerous'," I say while making air quotes with my fingers and rolling my eyes.

"Well, my brother the committee think you deserve a chance. Sherlock insists you deserve to live life like a "normal kid"." He copies my air quotes.

"So, to be clear I get to leave this cell and see the outside world?" I cock my head to one side again. He nods in response.

"I get to be free!" I whisper to myself while clutching my blanket close to my chest. I will be able to see the real world that I have always wanted to see. Finally.
