Hello! I'm still thinking of a name for this book... if you have any ideas please comment them! Thanks,

Peony sluggishly rolled out of the chilly snow. Due to being half SkyWing, she could get cold. At least she could still live in the Ice Kingdom. Queen Snowfall had been a fair queen. She allowed Peony to stay in the Ice Kingdom-to participate in the rankings, and to make up for her father's 'mistakes'. When her father, a high ranked IceWing in the adult ranks, disappeared, the whole kingdom was in uproar. Especially when he came back to abandon his hybrid dragonet. "Because we can't take care of her," he claimed.
We, referring to him and Peony's mother, she supposed.
Peony always trained hard. It helped to gain the respect of her tribemates back and helped her to forget that she had two parents out there who had abandoned her here with a tribe of IceWings who practically hated her. Peony swallowed the anger down like she had for the past six years. Almost seven, she thought absentmindedly. Then I'll go into the adult rankings.
Peony walked down the halls of the Ice Palace. She had just made it into the third circle rankings last summer and was enjoying her new castle room. Once she was outside in the courtyard, she found a particularly hard piece of ice and sharpened her claws against it before it melted against her talons, which didn't radiate as much chill as the other IceWing's. At least she had frostbreath. Without it, she would be even more of a joke.
Peony ignored the pointed stares and whispers of the other IceWings as she walked to the ranking wall. She saw her name, scratched neatly in the ice, two spots from last place in the third circle.
"Peony," a voice said behind her. Peony turned around to see one of the Queen's messengers. "Queen Snowfall would like a word," he then turned around, not waiting to see if she would follow.
"Am I in trouble?" Peony asked. The messenger didn't answer. Of course, they never did. When Peony was little, she used to think they were robots, made to do only what the Queen asked.
"Peony," the Queen said when they entered the throne room, tipping her head in acknowledgement. Peony swooped into a low bow that she and the other IceWing dragonets had been taught to master.
"Rise. You have been selected along with four other IceWing dragonets to go to Jade Mountain."
"M-me? Thank you, your Highness!" Peony said, startled.
Queen Snowfall waved her off. "Get ready, you leave tomorrow."
