Chapter 5

            Kyle's POV

I rolled around in the couch. I felt so sick and my joints ached. I had come to Claudia's house three days ago, and Claudia's Mom, Jenn, let me stay home for a dew days. in fact, today was the last day I Was able to stay from school sick

    I wasn't surprised when my father didn't come looking for me. actually, I was happy he didn't. Jenn was a work, Claudia and her brother Nick were at school, and there dad, Don, was also at work.

     I lazily rolled off the couch and made my way up the stairs , to the bathroom and ran a hot steaming shower. As I got out and put on a spare change of clothes that Jenn had bought me, I looked at the clock. They should be home from school already. I thought. then I heard the front door open. I walked downstairs, I could almost feel the bags under my eyes. As I walked downstairs Claudia jumped from the kitchen table chair and embraced my in a hug.

     "Hey, how you feelin' man?" asked the deep voice of short, dirty blonde hair, brown eyed Nick.

     "Eh, I'm alright." I replied.

Claudia let go and then kissed my cheek quickly before racing up stairs.

     Nick started laughing.

     I looked at him and tilted my head. "uhhhh..."

      "Dude, she likes you!"

    I felt my cheeks instantly turn bright red. I turned and headed upstairs.

                  Claudia's POV

I stripped from my clothes and put on a comfy pair of pajama pants and a old shirt. Iaid on my bed and pulled out my phone, going through my contacts. I heard my phone ding.

Jake: hey, how's Kyle doing?

Me:He's okay, he'll be back at school tomorrow.

Jake: that's really good. People at school are saying he tried committing suicide by overdose, that's why he collapsed

me: Are you fucking serious! thanks for the information...

Jake: No problem. see ya tomorrow!

   I locked my phone and slammed my head on my pillow and screamed . Are you serious?!.

Kyles POV 

I walked into Claudia's room and put the bedding on the floor. Claudia had volunteered to let me sleep in her room, even though her parents asked me to sleep in Nicks. Claudia was already fast asleep when I looked at her; or so I thought. I laid down, closing my eyes.

not a few minutes later I felt a warm body cuddle up to mine. I knew it was Claudia, but I pretended to be asleep.

I felt her gently kiss the back of my neck

"Everything's going to be okay..." she whispered. she didn't move from her place. "...Goodnight Love..."
