The sun was shining, and the grass was green. Azora lay on the grass, her head in Maddy's lap, as she stared up at the sky, she would miss the sunny and pleasant weather of her home country Cavianny.

Maddy was braiding daisy's and other wildflowers into Azora's hair, and though there was silence, it was not awkward, but rather a blissful silence. Azora was going to miss everything.

"I'm going to miss you so much Azzy." Azora heard Maddy sniffle, and one of her hands stopped braiding Azora's hair to brush away a tear that was rolling down her cheeks. Azora sat up, twisting around to face Maddy, and the girls embraced one another.

"Do not worry Maddy, I will convince your father to send you to me. Once I am Queen, he can't say no to me, for I shall be pf higher rank than him." Azora place her hands on her hips and stuck her nose in the air jokingly, trying to cheer Maddy up, but with no success. Maddy simply frowned and sighed.

"You're a higher rank than him now, and he still doesn't listen to you."

"Well he will have to listen to me, I shall be the Queen of a country bigger and richer than ours."
Madeline chuckled slightly before her laughter faded into a sad quietness.

Azora remembered every detail of that scene and her subconcious self smiled in her sleep. But her smile soon dissapeared, something about this memory was not right. This was not how that day went.

"Kalian..."
Dream Madeline murmured under her breath, sitting up.
Azora turned her head in the direction Maddy was staring, and saw the 18 year old Kalian run through the long green grass, the sun making his dirty blonde hair look golden.

Maddy stood up and ran to Kalian, her arms open wide. They embraced tightly before moving their faces towards each others and kissed. Their kiss grew more intense, and their hands began to run over each others body, and start undressing each other, but Maddy stopped.

"We can't." She said, pointing to an exasperated Azora.

"Who is that?" Kalian tilted his head to the side, his eyes wide in curiosity.

"That is your wife." Maddy snarled.
Kallians curious gaze morphed into a poisonous glare as he clenched his hands tightly.
"She is ugly."

"But you are married!" Maddy reminded him.
" I prefer you." He said, brushing her cheek in fondness, before heading towards Azora, an axe appearing in his hand.
Azora slowly stood up.

"I do not wish her here anymore. She shall be executed!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

The serene grassy meadow of Calian turned into a a snowy plain in Navalia, and she fell backwards onto her rear end, and scuttled backwards as fast as she could, the snow brushing against her bare arms causing a chill to go through her body.

Kalian caught up to her and raised the axe above his head as if he was about to chop of her head, before he let the axe fall towards Azoras neck and then-

Azora sat up in bed hurriedly, her hair and clothing stuck to the skin on her body with sweat, and she was panting and out of breath.

She noticed maids and ladies in waiting crouded around her bed, and she collapsed back onto her bed.

It was just a dream.

She cried as she curled into a ball on her side, why must a good memory be ruined?

A maid pat a cold wet cloth on her forehead and she relised then that her body was shivering and she felt cold. She tried to talk but her voice croaked, and she clasped it in pain.

"You have a fever, your highness. Just relax." The maid that was tending to her soothed Azora with her calming voice.
"The doctor will be here soon"

Sure enough the doctor arrived, and he talked to the maids and ladies in waiting, questioning when the fever had started and other questions like that.

Azora could hear every word of the conversation, even when he lowered his voice to whisper into an older Ladies ear.

"Is there a possibility she might be pregnant?" His eyes darted over to the form of the Queen, who pretended to be asleep, but kept listening in.

"Im afraid not, sire. The King has not once visited her chambers since their wedding night two years ago."
The older lady in waiting also kept her voice hushed.

The doctor frowned slightly, but cleared his throat and continued his work.
