Tw: Angst, character death
====
Jason hated seeing his dad like this. He loved his dad so much and it hurt him to see his dad so upset and still mourning his lover's death 2 years later. Jason was trying to do his homework but hearing his dad sob in his bedroom was heartbreaking.

Jason got out of the kitchen and went to his dad's room, seeing bottles on the floor and his father hugging a pink shirt, Whizzer's shirt. Marvin's back was to the door on 'his side' of the bed  "Dad are you okay?" He asked gently. Marvin let out a loud "No! We're not okay!" we his father always used we when he was drunk. We always meant me and Whizzer.

"Dad... Whizzer isn't here..." Jason said quietly entering the room. "Why are you so fucking rude to your stepdad? He didn't do anything to you!" Jason slowly approached his father's bed and sat on Whizzer's side of the bed "GET OFF HIM!" Jason quickly sat up and looked at his dad

"Whizzer isn't here dad. I miss him too but-" Marvin raised his voice much louder than before, clinging onto the pink shirt "He's here Jason! Whizzer would never leave me! He loves me! He loves me! He-" Jason got the courage and snatched the pink shirt, trying to stop his dad from crying.

"Dad! Whizzer is dead! He's been dead for years! He's never coming back for you!" Marvin looked at the pink shirt. "Jason, give it back." Jason shook his head as well as shaking any tears that threatened to fall. “Jason that's his! That's Whizzer's don't touch his clothes!"

Marvin desperately tried to reach for the pink shirt to him it looks like Jason is taking one of the few things he has left of Whizzer. He missed everything about him, his smile, his laugh, his presence, and his constant nagging as well.

Jason threw the shirt at his dad "Why is it so hard to move on! He's dead and is never coming back! Especially you!" A silence filled the room, the only sound in the room was Marvin's soft  sobs.

Jason gently puts the shirt down "I didn't- mean- dad please- don't" Marvin snatched the shirt and grabbed Jason close "I'm sorry..." He slurred before falling asleep holding the shirt closer than ever. Jason quietly left the room and shut the door behind him.
