Chapter 4: Azusa Sasaki's Arc

"Sasaki-san have you done filing the complaint about tax evasion of Corporate A?" One male worked asked her.

"Yes, I already placed it on the desk of Section-Chief." She answered.

"Sasaki-san, where's the data for  the Alleged Corruption of League of Enterprise?" Another one asked.

"It's on Drive C of the computer, Access code would be in the email I sent to you just awhile ago." She replied.

"Thanks! Just what you would expect to Sasaki, very reliable!" Her colleagues praised her.

"Yep, she's living the name of Sasaki, that's why!" Another one said.

"Well she is a Sasaki, so it's already given." One butted in with a sarcastic tone.

She only smiled at them and returned to her desk. "Just because her father is a successful person, she's taking all his credit as if it's hers." A colleague of her said intentionally with a loud voice. She didn't mind what she heard and continued working. "I have a meeting with the secretary of ABC Industry at 1PM, I should probably take my lunch." She told herself. She secured her files first then went out for a break. 

"One burger steak please with extra rice." She ordered. "One burger steak with extra rice, coming right up!" The cashier guy announced. Her food was given to her and she sat at the corner of the fast food chain. She looked on her phone and scrolled down some news feeds on her social media. "Oh look, Chi-Sensei published another book. I wanna buy one!" She reacted while eating happily. "May I sit with you?" A handsome young guy asked permission. She looked at him and smile "Go ahead." He sat beside which made her a bit awkward, the guy began talking to her which made her be in a difficult disposition.

"Azusa Sasaki, right? My name is Wei Lin, I am one of your colleagues, you might not remember me but we worked in the same case before." Azusa continued eating while the guy continued talking "I really admire you! You're very reliable and a lot of people respect you. At such a young age you're already solving difficult cases." Azusa put down her food on the table and said "I'm not amazing at all, the reason why they respect me and feel like I am very reliable is because of my father, without his fame I am nothing for sure. Besides whatever you say, it makes me feel nothing afterall my colleagues are backstabbing me." The guy gave a sad expression while Azusa finished her food and bid goodbye to the guy. She head back to her work and accidentally she heard another backstabbing person. "I hope that Azusa Sasaki will resign, she really is a pain in the ass. Hoarding her father's credit. If it's only her she wouldn't be achieving great things, also she won't be handling cases too." A blonde secretariat ranted out. Azusa clenched her fist and was in rage but she cannot do anything but keep her emotions intact. "A lawyer cannot act base on her emotions, facts and logical reasoning are needed." She told herself as she entered the desk acting as if she heard nothing. 

"Sasaki-san! Congrats on winning another case!" The blondie who just backstabbed her awhile ago congratulated her. Azusa smiled and said "Thanks, don't worry you will get there." The blondie grumbled and felt offended with what she said, Azusa on the other hand just smiled at them and continued her work. "That bitch, I hope karma falls down on her." The blondie cursed. "Quiet she might hear you." Another colleague warned her. "Shut up, I know that." The blondie said. 

It was six in the evening already and the employees started going home, Azusa decided to stay a bit later since she wants to advance on the case she's working on. "Working late again?" The guy she ate lunch with awhile ago greeted. "Ah Lin-san, yes I want to finish this as soon as possible so I could go on a vacation with my family" She answered. 

"Ahh, vacation. Haven't done that ever since I started working here." Wei sighed.

"That must be sad. One should balance his work and personal life in order to have a fulfilling life." Azusa told him.
