Louis POV
'Back to the car.' I say to the others in slight alpha voice. That is not really useful as there are two other alphas here, but nonetheless they all do what I say and we all walk back. This time it seems like it goes way faster than the journey to the escapers place. Or well, what's left of it anyways.
Nobody says anything. We are all most likely to shocked to even think of words. I glance a few times in Harry's direction to see him looking sickly pale. After a few minutes I simply wrap my arm around his waist without speaking or looking at him. I feel his gaze on me and look over to his worried face. I want to reassure him that everything is going to be alright. But I have doubts myself.
Once we reach the car, we all take the same spots as on the road to and from Manchester, only this time I don't start the car. We all sit silent for a moment, until I turn around in my seat so I can look everyone in the eye.
'We need to go to London.' I say. A few hours ago I would have laughed in your face if you asked me to go there. I hate that place with every fiber in my body. The only stories I have heard about London are horrible.
'You've become insane.' Zayn states as he shakes his head. 'You are the last person on the world that would suggest that.'
'I get where Louis is coming from.' Liam speaks up before I have any chance to react. All eyes are on him and I motion him to explain himself. 'The rebels are hiding out in London and I know the exact location and a way to get you in.'
'Isn't that like extremely dangerous? Besides, they will know that Louis is the leader of the escapers place. They will kill him at first sight.' Harry says with a frown on his face. 'And Niall and I are Omegas. Going to London is most likely suicide.'
'We need to figure a way to get in there without the rebels noticing anything, cause Harry definitely has a point. Louis, even if you never officially took over, everyone knew you were supposed to be the next leader. You are just letting your emotions take over, think twice.' Zayn says resting a hand on my shoulder, that I shake off angrily.
'Do you all think I'm stupid? I know the way to London perfectly! I wish I didn't. I don't know if you've ever noticed, but there isn't exactly much food we can convince in the escapers place. I have stolen too many times from the shops in London.' I spat out. 'I can easily get us in London, if you are so worried about that.'
'I'm not worried about that.' Harry says quietly. 'I'm worried, because none of us know the power of the rebels. We are just with five, they could be in there thousands, Louis.' He adds before he softly touches my knee with his fingertips as if he's scared I would hurt him. After I only look at him, he slowly places his whole hand on my knee and I take a deep breath and let part of the anger I'm feeling fall off my shoulders. I nod softly in Harry's direction and send him a half smile, which he returns.
'Harry is right, but don't we have those injections? We have the solution to beat them all.' I say, not even sounding convinced myself.
'Violence against violence is war.' Niall speaks up. 'We won't get far with that. I mean have you ever heard of five guys win a war against a big army, except for superhero stories? We are just normal people, not heroes or anything like that.'
'You don't need to be a hero to mean something to society. Neither do we have to fight. Do you remember Gandhi? With his words he could make the whole population turn against the English government without using any form of violence. I'm not saying we should do that, cause I know they have much stronger weapons and won't be scared to kill us one by one, I'm saying that we should find people to believe in us and help us.' I said. The other boys nodded slowly, agreeing with me.
Suddenly a loud noise filled the car, scaring the hell out of us. It sounded a bit like a bird singing his morning tune, only a lot more metallic and fake. Once I listened closely it sounded like it came out of Liam's pocket. Liam seemed to notice it too as he felt in his pocket and held one of those weird rectangular things out of his pocket. You know, with a screen that can light up and a big button at the bottom. According to Harry's aunt it's called a mobile and you can get contact with people from further away from you.
The screen on the mobile Liam just got out of his pocket is an unknown number with a green and a red Icon. Hesitating another second Liam hits the left one of the icons, the green one. 'Hello, boys can you hear me?' A voice that sounds a lot like Anne, Harry's mother, sounds from the mobile confusing us even more. We understand that from our time in Manchester that people are used to lots of electronics all the time and that once, London was too. We however never learned how to deal with all those electronic things and how they work.
Harry speaks up in the end, it's softly spoken, but the other person seems to hear it clearly when Harry says. 'Yes.'
'Oh Harry! It's such a relief to hear your voice again! I've missed you so much, my baby boy!' With those words being said I'm one hundred percent sure it's Anne who we are talking to. 'Where are you boys?'
Harry looks stunned at the phone and sends we a questioning look. I can't do anything besides shrug as I answer this time. 'In the car, on the place where you had parked it.'
'You need to get away from there as soon as possible!' Anne yells. 'The rebels are coming for you, they want something from you, Louis. Without that you'll be weak. The weaker you are, the easier they can kill you.'
'What do they want from me? I'm not weak!' I reply furrowing my eyebrows thinking what it could be. I look into Harry's eyes and realization hits me hard as I shallow.
'I think you know that yourself. Congratulations, by the way. Figured you finally mated, didn't you? Such a shame you couldn't do that earlier. I mean-' Anne gets interrupted by a loud cannon sound.
We quickly hang up the phone as I start the car and drive away the fastest I've ever driven before. There is one thing that makes an alpha weak. My only weakness is the thing I love the most. my mate.
